There’s no doubt director Stuart McDonald’s “A Perfect Pairing” pairs perfectly with a nice bottle of wine on a lonely night at home. Providing a respite from our hectic reality, this romantic comedy centered on an assured woman who finds love and purpose in the land down under offers delightful entertainment while playing to our most wholesome sensibilities. Charming, cute and fairly satisfying, it follows the formula for Netflix branded content that’s typically reserved for their holiday films, going down smoothly and pleasing the palate.
Lola Alvarez (Victoria Justice) puts her clients’ happiness before her own. Though she loves her job as sales director at a wine distribution company, she despises her cruel, condescending boss Calder (Craig Horner). Her love life’s been on pause after a divorce a few years prior, and she hasn’t felt the need to press play since, using her busy work schedule as an excuse.

This Batwoman article contains spoilers for Jane the Virgin and Agent Carter.
For younger genre TV fans, the name Bridget Regan might not immediately ring a bell. But the actress, who was just cast as Poison Ivy on The CW’s Batwoman, has a long and impressive genre TV resume that suggests the beloved DC Comics character is in very safe hands. In addition to memorable turns on The Last Ship, White Collar, and Paradise Lost, the American actress has appeared in some of the most unexpectedly memorable genre TV roles in the last decade and a half. Basically, no matter how good or bad the material, Bridget Regan has a habit of elevating her roles to iconic. Let’s break down why Regan is such a good choice to play the morally complex Poison Ivy in Batwoman Season 3…

If you've always wondered what secrets may be lurking in Captain Hook's past, look no further than far, far under the sea.
We might not have imagined a ship's captain entangling with a captain of a submarine, but we may have to rethink that scenario.
Faran Tahir will be coming aboard Once Upon a Time Season 6 as none other than Captain Nemo
According to EW, Tahir will play the "hardened leader of the Nautilus submarine, who’s a zealous believer in a cause that takes him from 20,000 leagues under the sea to the destiny that he won’t let anyone prevent him from achieving."
There really is not story that's off limits to step ashore at Storybrooke. Isn't it wonderful?
This season the entire show is opening up to the Land of Untold Stories, which goes beyond the fairytale characters with which we've become familiar.
It's a fairly unique concept...

Last night, VH1 debuted its latest scripted drama, Hindsight, and all things considered, it’s actually pretty good – if you can get past the idea that clogs were ever a fashionable option for women’s footwear.
The show revolves around Becca, played by Laura Ramsey (Mad Men), a familiar face, but still relatively under the radar. On the eve of her second wedding, in a very Thirteen Going on Thirty trippy teleportive way, Becca is transported back to the nineties just in time to be faced with the reality of making the same mistakes for a second time.
The pilot itself is mainly concerned with establishing the characters, most of whom you meet both in present day and then as younger versions of themselves, and setting the groundwork for the series as a whole. It answers most of the basic questions – how, what, where, when – but leaves a heavy question mark hanging over the why.

After 1992's Army Of Darkness, another Sam Raimi feature film wouldn't emerge in theatres for another three years. You've already checked out the pilot line up for CBS, ABC, Fox, and NBC. And now... the little network that could.
The CW is sticking with what it knows best this season: Hour-long dramas directed at young and/or genre-friendly audiences, with plenty of Josh Schwartz in the mix. Five of the eight contenders are adapted, be it from comic books, other shows, or novels, guaranteeing a built in audience and a fair share of built in skepticism.
We've got your CW 2012-2013 cheat sheet below. Which do you think you're most likely to tune in for on premiere night?
"Arrow": No, it's not a "Smallville" spin-off. Stephen Amell will star as Oliver Queen in this remaining of the DC superhero, led by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. Katie Cassidy stars as his love interest and old flame (and Black Canary), with Willa Holland as his sister.

Scott Wolf is on his way to The CW.
The former Party of Five and V star has landed a key role on Joey Dakota, the time-traveling drama starring Amber Stevens as Maya Beaumont, a filmmaker who gets sent a mysterious package and uses it to travel back in time and fall in love with the title character (played by Craig Horner), a rock star about whom she has just made a documentary.
She then spends the rest of the series trying to replicate this time traveling experience in order to save Dakota from an untimely death.
Wolf will appear in this high concept series as Franklin Morgan, the man who sends Dakota the aforementioned package and who, we later find out, has his own agenda for wanting to perfect the concept of time travel.

And the pilot castings continue to roll in! Zap2it has learned exclusively that Scott Wolf has snagged the role of Franklin Morgan in The CW's quirky-yet-adorable "Joey Dakota" pilot.
"Joey Dakota," a '90s-centric time-travel musical, centers on Maya Beaumont ("Greek's" Amber Stevens), a filmmaker. She's just finished a documentary about Joey Dakota, a rock star who died 22 years earlier. Joey is played by Australian actor Craig Horner of "Legend of the Seeker."
After celebrating her film premiere, Maya receives a mysterious package in the mail -- which sends her back in time to 1990, where she meets Dakota and falls in love with him. Her attempt to save him from his untimely death has dire consequences.
Franklin, described as affable and "kinda cute, in a geeky way," is the guy who sent that mysterious package. He hopes to ultimately use time travel to undo some tragedies from his own past.

Legend of the Seeker's Craig Horner is set to play a 1990s rock star in Joey Dakota, based on the Israeli format about a future documentarian who goes back in time to capture her subject, Joey Dakota, only to fall in love with him.
On her radio show in Dallas, Khloe Kardashian called her sister's babbydaddy Scott Disick a "homo" over his manbag. “What kind of homo are you? “Seriously? That is not what men… a straight man doesn’t carry a Birkin Bag.” When Disick called her out not for the insult but the slur (quite brilliantly in fact), she doubled down, “Let me just tell you: I am the queen of my gay community which I love and adore. And I promote doing the tranny look-alike contest. I am queen bee over here so don’t even try it.” Um. No. In fact, no twice.

The CW’s Joey Dakota pilot has found its hard-rockin’ Joey Dakota, in Aussie actor/Legend of the Seeker alum Craig Horner, our sister site Deadline reports.
In an adaptation of the Israeli series Danny Hollywood, Greek‘s Amber Stevens plays Maya, a filmmaker working on a docu about Joey Dakota, a rock star who died too young in the 1990s. When Maya (somehow) travels back in time, she meets and falls in love with the musician, only to be thrust back to the present. She then labors to get back to the ’90s to help Joey dodge death — Butterfly Effect be damned!

Just as Glee came forward to address the niche audience dying to see more musically-inclined shows on television, Legend of the Seeker took up the mantle of appeasing fantasy fans with its weekly installments of magic and epic quests. It’s no Middle Earth, but it goes a long way towards filling the hole left by the exit of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess years ago. And wouldn’t you know it, just like with those two predecessors, Sam Raimi has a hand in Legend as well; but almost as if in spite of Raimi’s involvement, the show foregoes camp to try and be an honest to god fantasy epic. It succeeds in a few important ways, but the final product ultimately feels flat, due in large part to writing that feels like it came from the fan-fiction journal of a failed dungeon master.

An unfortunate, recent loss, Legend of the Seeker only made it through two seasons, and the DVD release of the second and final season is now available. Based on the popular Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, and starring Craig Horner, Bridget Regan, and Bruce Spence, the show seemed to take off pretty well, but didn’t quite hold onto enough viewers by the time we got to a season three decision.
Though squarely in the realm of such syndication “classics” as Hercules and Xena, there was some clear progression at work with this one, focusing as it did on rather more creepy and unnerving subjects, and (eventually) putting a good deal less “goofy” in its comic relief.
The second season kicked things up a notch, as defeat of one evil led to a quest to defeat supernatural evil, and there was a lot less time for the show’s fun side.

I just wouldn’t have guessed it, but Legend of the Seeker has a huge amount of fans. Either that, or a small amount of very vocal ones. In any case, the show (which airs only in syndication) is still gathering fans, despite the fact that it was cancelled after its second season earlier this year. Outrage could be heard across the internet as the aforementioned fans headed up “Save Our Seeker” campaigns in order to revive the series based on Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth novels. While there has been no sign of progress on this front, fans of the fantasy series have perhaps their best chance of redemption coming up next Tuesday, when the second season hits DVD.
It’s not necessarily a common practice, but there have been several cancelled shows to have been revived by DVD sales (the now-beloved Family Guy springs to mind). If...

Congratulations to 'Arrested Development', 'The Office', 'Veronica Mars' & 'Glee' for making it through to the second round of the competition. I was surprised that 'Sex & the City' gained so few votes, but like 'The Prisoner', perhaps some fans have moved onto newer things. Also intriguing was the fact that two of the polls had over 1000 votes, whereas the others only had around 700/800. A possible hint at certain shows having bigger fanbases maybe? For all those who have entered the competition, once the results are updated, you can check out how you are doing here: http://www.dawgsled.com/darkufo/welcome.asp
