George Clooney says the Ocean’s gang could get back together after reading a “great script” for another film in the starry heist series. Speaking with Uproxx about his upcoming movie The Boys in the Boat, Clooney revealed a new Ocean’s film could find the crew from the trilogy reuniting for events set after Ocean’s 13. Ocean’s 14, anyone?
“We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we may end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script,” Clooney told Uproxx.
The outlet tried pressing Clooney for more information, though he was reluctant to share too much. When asked if the project intends to become Ocean’s 14, Clooney said, “Well… I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is kind of like ‘Going in Style.'”

The Boys in the Boat trailer brings the George Clooney-directed underdog story to you this Christmas
Prepare to feel inspired! The Boys in the Boat trailer is about to make you feel like you could conquer whatever hardships the world throws at you. Based on the #1 New York Times bestselling non-fiction novel by Daniel James Brown, The Boys in the Boat is about the 1936 University of Washington rowing team that competed for gold at the Summer Olympics in Berlin. Director George Clooney opens MGM’s behind-the-scenes The Boys in the Boat featurette with a reminder that rowing in the 1920s was one of the most attended sports in the United States. Clooney’s new film tells the true story of an underdog team made up of, as Clooney describes them, “strong, tough kids” who were poor and competed in rowing in order to stay in college.
Based on Daniel James Brown’s book, The Boys in the Boat stars Joel Edgerton as Al Ulbrickson, Callum Turner as Joe Rantz, Chris Diamantopoulos as Royal Brougham, and James Wolk as Coach Bolles. Bruce Herbelin-Earle plays Shorty Hunt, Wil Coban is Jim McMillan, Hadley Robinson is Joyce Sidmar, Sam Strike is Roger Morris, and Thomas Elms is Chuck Day.
The ensemble also includes Joel Phillimore as Gordy Adam, Tom Varey as Johnny White, Jack Mulhern as Don Hume, and Luke Slattery as Bobby Moch.

Whenever a producer in recent times has exited their partnership with a star, quite often said producer’s output is not as robust.
It’s a different situation for Bruna Papandrea, who after peeling off from Reese Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard Production Company has been on quite a roll with such TV hits as HBO’s The Undoing, Netflix’s Anatomy of a Scandal and Luckiest Girl Alive, Hulu’s Nine Perfect Strangers and now the Prime Video limited series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart based on Holly Ringland’s novel. This is all under Papandrea’s six-year-old production banner Made Up Stories, which is devoted to female-centric stories.
On today’s Crew Call podcast, we talk with Papandrea about why she went solo with Made Up Stories, the genesis of The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, and more.
Lost Flowers of Alice Hart follows the story of the title protagonist.

Daniel Clowes’ comics creation receives an A-Plus film adaptation through the directorial filter of Terry Zwigoff. The show has more going for it than the bleak alienation of disaffected quasi- gen-Xers — the script offers a depth of character revealing the insecure, hopes and fears behind all the insulting attitudes and behaviors. It’s caustic, funny and also strongly affecting.

A-listers and Oscar winners star in this second trailer for The Monuments Men.
Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, The Monuments Men is an action drama focusing on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by Fdr with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.
A vast improvement over the original teaser trailer. Will the film be among the Best Picture nominees in the upcoming Oscar race? We’ll find out when the nominations are announced on Thursday, January 16, 2014.
However this year’s Award Season pans out, The Monuments Men, along with it’s star-studded cast, is akin to the old-Hollywood WWII movies The Dirty Dozen, Guns Of Navarone, and The Longest Day – all of which were big commercial successes and Academy Award winners.
It would be an impossible mission: with the art trapped behind enemy lines,...

Evan Rachel Wood, Director George Clooney and Ryan Gosling on the set of Ides Of March.
Check out the new poster, stills and trailer for Columbia Pictures’ political thriller Ides Of March. Clooney’s film will be playing opening night at the Venice Film Festival.
Gosling’s performance and accent are such a throwback to a younger Sean Penn from At Close Range, Casualties Of War…even a little of The Falcon And The Snowman. Clooney’s become a natural with this sort of fair. Once again he’s collaborated on the screenplay with Grant Heslov (Good Night And Good Luck). I’ll be eager to see what type of reaction it sees at the Toronto Film Festival in September – will it be enough to gain some Awards season traction?

I had the pleasure of seeing Joe Wright’s fourth feature tonight, the action/drama/thriller Hanna starring Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett, and Eric Bana. While I’m embargoed from sharing any thoughts, Focus Features shared a new clip and a variety of images from the film. The clip features some of the fantastic The Chemical Brothers score, and a snippet from one of my favorite scenes in the film. Check them out below, followed by production notes from the film. Click for hi-resolution versions.
Synopsis
A teenage girl goes out into the world for the first time – and has to battle for her life. Director Joe Wright weaves elements of dark fairy tales into the adventure thriller Hanna, filmed on location in Europe and Morocco.
Hanna (played by Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan of Atonement, also directed by Joe Wright) is 16 years old. She is bright, inquisitive, and a devoted daughter.

Until now, we thought he was sailing away on the Ernest Hemingway book-to-screen translation of Islands in the Streams, but instead he'll be switching over to another legend American writer's work directing Cormac McCarthy's The Sunset Limited that... was first produced by the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago on May 18, 2006, and it traveled to New York City later that same year. The play was published in a paperback edition about same time that it opened in New York. Some consider it to be more a novel than a true play, partly because its subtitle is "A Novel in Dramatic Form". The play involves only two nameless characters,

The story, written by John Wells, centers on the effect of a company's downsizing on its casualties and survivors. Bello will play the VP of human resources forced to fire Affleck, a corporate hotshot that has to give up his Porsche and six-figure salary.
Costner will play Affleck's brother-in-law that gives him a construction job after he is laid off. Nelson will play the CEO of the multinational corporation, while Jones is a principled senior partner in the firm who struggles with the greediness of his partners.
Wells is directing as well as producing alongside Claire Rudnick Polstein and Paula Weinstein, Variety reports. Barbara Hall is executive producing.

The Producers Guild of America will bestow its annual Stanley Kramer Award, which recognizes work that dramatically illuminates provocative social issues, on Focus Features' "Milk," Gus Van Sant's account of gay activist Harvey Milk.
Producers Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen will accept the award at the 20th annual PGA Awards on Jan. 24 at the Hollywood Palladium.
PGA Awards co-chairs David Friendly and Laurence Mark said "Milk" was chosen as 2008's recipient "because the film so completely and so boldly embodies the tradition and spirit of its namesake, Stanley Kramer."
"Milk" is a Focus presentation in association with Axon Films of a Groundswell production and a Jinks/Cohen Co. production. Executive producers are Michael London, Dustin Lance Black, Bruna Papandrea, Barbara A. Hall, and William Horberg.
