Producer Jason Blum had said the Paranormal Activity franchise went dormant for a while after the release of 2015’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension because he felt the series had gotten tired – and it wasn’t his idea to make Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, a failed attempt at a revival (that he described as “terrible”), back in 2021. He has been open about the fact that he feels there has been “enough already” when it comes to Paranormal Activity movies. But that doesn’t mean the franchise can’t continue in other ways. A few months back, we heard there’s a stage play in development, and now Variety has broken the news that a Paranormal Activity video game will be released in 2026!

A new cult favorite with a sequel that had viewers fainting in theaters is set to make a return to the big screen. "Terrifier," the 2016 slasher film by Damien Leone, will be clowning its way back to theaters this summer according to The Hollywood Reporter. The new release is planned as the widest yet for a movie that started off small, initially debuting at the Telluride Horror Show Film Festival before eventually earning a limited release in 2018. Now, though, the horrifying antics of Art The Clown will be on display for a wider audience than ever, as the film is set to hit 700 theaters in July.

The franchise director George A. Romero and writer Stephen King started with the 1982 classic Creepshow (watch it Here) sat dormant for a long time after the 1987 release of Creepshow 2 (watch it Here). If you have been paying attention to 2022's cinematic trends, you should know that multiverses are totally in vogue right now. Whether they are the cruxes of a major superhero franchise or a symbol for the complexities of relationships, multiverses offer an infinite amount of storytelling opportunities, as long as the core story allows for it.
"Tiny Cinema," the upcoming anthology film that recently had its world premiere at the Popcorn Frights Film Festival, is one such story. Directors Tyler Cornack and Ryan Koch have been eager to take their weirdness, previously demonstrated in 2019's "Butt Boy," to the next level by using the ever-expanding multiverse concept. The stories in this anthology might not seem related at first, but as they get increasingly bloodier and awkward, things might turn out to be far more connected than anyone might realize.

Calgary-based filmmaker Berkley Brady is working on an adaptation of Metis author Maria Campbell’s memoir “Halfbreed.” The book, published in the 1970s, recounts a life of difficulty, struggle and discrimination, but it’s also a testament to the woman who ended up as a “pillar of her indigenous community,” points out Brady.

There are hopes of a wide audience for John V Soto’s action thriller Avarice, which has entered post-production following a four-week shoot in Perth.
Starring Gillian Alexy and Luke Ford, the film follows a woman as she attempts to rescue her husband following his abduction during a vicious home invasion.
Rounding out the cast are Nick Atkinson, Tom O’Sullivan, Priscilla-Anne Jacob and Ryan Panizza.
The script was penned Adam Enslow, Dane Millerd, Andrew Slattery and Soto, who also produces alongside Tim Maddocks for Filmscope Entertainment and Maddfilms, respectively.
Soto told If that the production, which was supported by Screenwest and Lotterywest, had so far resembled a “well-oiled machine”.
“We completed the Avarice shoot on time and on budget and have captured some wonderful performances with beautiful cinematography,” he said.
“I was blessed to work with such a super talented cast and crew who were almost entirely West Australian.
