The conflict in "Pemukiman Setan" begins with Alin and his friends, who are thieves. Teuku Rifnu Wikana portrays Urip Mahesworo, a mysterious character involved in Alin's terror. Despite appearing halfway through the film, Teuku Rifnu steals scenes and engages the audience. Jump scares are effective due to intense scoring, evoking shock or fluttering among viewers. Alin's stress resonates with the audience, who feel annoyed by his actions. Viewers may feel compelled to intervene and help Alin overcome Sukma's curse. Even so, this film still make me breathe a sigh of relief because the endings.
