The bad reputation of the Big Apple
bkoganbing6 October 2016
This episode shows a real divergence in the job attitudes of elected and appointed officials. For the mayor he serves the shooting of a tourist from Iowa who went out for a smoke while dining with his wife at an upscale restaurant is a public relations matter. We don't want tourism declining hence this case must be given top priority. On Criminal Intent Goren and Eames would have it.

But for Police Commissioner Tom Selleck it rubs him the wrong way that the tourist from Iowa rates above citizens of his city, minority citizens at that.

This also causes division between brother and sister Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynahan. When Wahlberg arrests Haitian immigrant Gbenga Akinnagbe for the crime she's feeling she has a slam dunk. Akinnagbe didn't help himself by running either.

Dinner at the Reagans on Sunday is kind of tense between the siblings.

Not a bad story, tune in to find out who was right and why the brother and sister took the positions they did.

All That Glitters

By far one of the best episodes this season. Superb acting all around. All the parts for this episode were perfectly cast. Kudos to all the actors that were a part of this episode. Love they are not following the lead of the other cop show out there. Other cops shows feel the need to cast a star in every episode, and I am a bit tired of that. Blood Blue seems to be doing it differently and that is refreshing. That is why I love the show so much.

The storyline for this episode was also one of the most interesting to date. Blue Bloods is becoming one of my favorite shows. I hope the network continues to keep the family story lines intact. Love all the dinner scene with the family. Keep it up!

Racial, Political Factors Never Better Here ****

Warning: Spoilers
Still another superb episode in this continuing wonderful television show.

Here we see the racial situation brought out when a tourist from Iowa is allegedly killed by a black man? How will this incident affect the tourist industry in New York? What are the political ramifications? This was excellently handled.

For a change, Danny, the tough cop has his doubts when a black person is arrested for the crime. It seems as if the guy is going to be railroaded to life imprisonment.

We have a grieving widow here, and I must confess that I was thinking of her in the relationship to the murder, and that would in itself show how bad pre-judgment in these cases are.
