Green Tide (2023)
I expected more, much much more
17 January 2024
I actually expected a plot in the line of Robert Enrico's ZONE ROUGE, with a real suspense; or Kelly Reichardt's NIGHT MOVES with much suspense; or Steve Sonderbergh's ERIN BROKOVICH, or Mike Nichols' SILKWOOD, both with much suspense. But here, I agree that the subject is very interesting, because speaking of ecology, important problems for environment. But the result is a document, in the journalistic way. It denounces and that's it. It explores many aspects of it, as in a documentary, where a real journalist would go and ask questions to people in concern of this issue. The problem, here, is that, unlike the other films which I told about above, there is no suspense in a thriller way. I expected more but it's still a good movie.
