Review of Sisu

Sisu (2022)
6/10
If you need to ask him "why won't you just die?", then you shouldn't be messing with him.

Narrated through 7 chapters, Sisu focuses on the Man, the legend who has been minding his own business, away from the ongoing war. He is a gold miner and when he finds enough gold to make a fortune, he takes the long route to the bank and encounters a Nazi army on the way. The mistake Nazis do is to try taking what clearly belongs to him and to their bad luck, they simply don't know whom they are messing with. How this relentless legend shows them the way to hell forms rest of the story.

Sisu is indeed a deliciously made violent action film which at times reminds of several entertaining films with a solid male lead and his violent ways to survive. It is a waferthin straightforward story and asusual relies on the violent kills. It is as over the top one expects it to be. The climax fight does get far exaggerated but the film still delivers on the fun. Be it John Wick or this guy, the baddies need to learn not to touch the man's dog and ofcourse his gold. The director definitely succeeds in giving tribute to his influences and the lead character is simply a vibe.
