6/10
Decent as a film, bad as an adaptation

Warning: Spoilers
If this weren't a Hercule Poirot adaptation, I would have quite enjoyed it. As an adaptation, it is a crime against life and memory.

I don't actually mind how much they changed the story - what really bugs me is how much they assassinated Poirot's character. They turned a cheerful, laid-back person into someone who is brooding and miserable! And removing Poirot's moustache is a catastrophe!

Agatha Christie stories have always been family stories. This movie has non-sex scenes that are somehow raunchier than actual sex scenes.

On the plus side - the scenery and cinematography is quite nice .
