This is kind of a murky presentation. A couple of murders take place & an unhappy pair of young teens apparently commit suicide. I saw these kids in the flashbacks getting to know one another and going on a date at a disco, which goes sour when the bright, pleasant young lady is jumped by a female thug in the bathroom. However, I don't recall seeing their deaths-so, I guess I will have to rewatch the first couple of episodes to figure that out.
You may have guessed that this dreary Polish storyline did not hold my attention & the conclusion was unclear also. The story is supposed to be about a veteran reporter who is investigating the homicides and assisting a younger hack who thinks the wrong guy got locked up for the crime. The landscape is barren and gloomy, and the story crawls along at a dismal pace. Not my cup of tea. Good news...! Only 5 episodes.
