"Lampa" or "The Lamp" is a 7-minute black-and-white film from 1959, so this one is almost 60 years old and it is one of Roman Polanski's really early works. he was only in his mid-20s when he shot this one. I would not say it is the worst in terms of what he made around that time, but this sadly does not yet make it a good film. The only area where it is fine is the atmospheric touch. Sometimes the music and sound effects are over the top, but generally it is working well in terms of the ambiance. Sadly, plot and story are almost non-existent and I just cannot see it as an experimental film. My overall verdict is a negative one. Don't watch unless you are a Polanski completionist.
