House of Cards (2013)
Loved seasons 1-5
There is no longer a Frank Underwood and Claire just isn't that interesting. I wish I hadn't looked forward to Season six. What a disappointment.
The OA (2016)
Incredibly Interesting
If you're a sci-fi fan and not one to require instant gratification, this is the series for you. It's for those who like a great story telling, unpredictable situations and can go with the flow. This is definitely a mind-bending story similar to how Strange Thing is but a completely different plot line.
I watched all 8 episodes as a binge as many other reviewers mentioned. This is a sign of a very good series. Even if you don't "get" it, it's great story-telling.
This series, and I'm not giving away anything as it's a unique experience, is one of the best series out of Netflix to date. I can't wait for season 2. What you think it is? It's not.
10,000 Saints (2015)
Very Good Movie
I really enjoyed this movie, yes pretty much everyone in it is screwed up but it's also very realistic. Their depiction of bored boys in Vermont in the 1980s is dead on. What happens after is very interesting with the East Village, CBGBs and the relationships and how they progress. I recommend this movie and had no problem "figuring out" who was adopted etc. Then again, I like movies that don't spoon feed everything.
I'm suppose to write 10 lines of text but don't want to include any spoilers. All the actors did a great job, especially Ethan Hawke and I love seeing Julianne Nicholson again in a movie. She is such a natural actress. I wasn't big on the actress who played the rich New York mother, however.
