Wasted potential

A beautiful world but the lamest story ever. No wonder why I hadn't watched this before.

You (2018–2024)
6/10
Second season disappointed me
30 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I loved season 1 of You, it seemed quite realistic and somewhat creepy. However, season 2 felt very unrealistic, almost like a parody. It lacked depth and seemed very light, even like a comedy. What are the chances that one psycho killer finds another? How many are there? I would give s1 8 stars and s2 4 stars, so I went with 6.

Better Than Us (2018–2019)
9/10
It will exceed your expectations, sure did mine
14 December 2019
For a Russian show it is incredibly well made. The story could very well take place anywhere, it works great for an international audience.

There are many different sub-plots and characters, each with their own flaws and strong points. It is a sci fi show, but also a drama. There is a decent amount of action, great effects and amazing acting. The robots look robotic enough and the futuristic city and the buildings are very well shot.

A little bonus for me, I had never heard of Kirill Käro before, but the name suggested he was form Estonia, as myself, and it turned out I am right. He was born and is currently living in Tallinn. Great talent, I wonder why I have never seen him in any Estonian shows or movies. Maybe he is too much of a star for those, at least now that he is on Netflix.

Raising Dion (2019–2022)

Raising Dion: You had potential...
18 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Interesting show, with a "plot twist" that I personally enjoyed. Acting was OK, writing wasn't the best and there were so many pointless side plots that lead to nowhere.

There was a side plot happening with Dion and his friends where they had to make some kind of project in school. They chose to make something that could "Kill storms". I enjoyed small snippets of the side plot, but it literally had no effect on the show. Me being dumb thought that it was going to be used against The Crooked Man to defeat him, but noo... They decided to do nothing with it and instead used some stupid metal strategy. So my question is, why include this side plot, which could have been used against the villain in a satisfying way when it is just forgotten completely?

Ben 10: Alien Force (2008–2010)
7/10
Really enjoyable, but not well animated.
2 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The art style is good, it's more realistic and I might even like it a bit more than the classic! My problem isn't with the Art style, but instead the animation. Since the art style is more realistic, they cant make animation too fluid in movement like the classic or even Omniverse. I love that this is more story based than the classic show, I also like that Kevin got a second chance, but season 3 will always be horrible compared to the other seasons. What the main story problem for me was that Ben knew what every alien does and how to fight with them. Also they were given a name immediately after the transformation. Some training and learning their abilities would have given the show a bit more to offer. After hearing the transformations yell their name for the 50th time it got annoying.

Ben 10 (2005–2008)

A truly fun adventure!
2 October 2019
Ben 10 is one of the classic CN powerhouses. With around 4 spin-offs and even a few live action movies, this franchise is really something special. Ben is a 10 year old boy who finds a watch like weapon, that is classified as level 20 technology which means it's one of the most advanced tech in the Galaxy. Since Ben is a young boy with a super powerful weapon, he starts his journey to becoming a Superhero. He travels throughout America with his cousin and Grandpa fighting aliens and villains while revealing secrets about what the watch is.

Recently I rewatched the classic series and I loved it. I did notice some poor writing and even worse choices they made, but it was still a really enjoyable experience.

Titans (I) (2018–2023)

A quilty pleasure
2 October 2019
Titans has a lot of problems, like the acting is awful at some points, the pacing needs a lot of work, CGI is base level at best and the Season 1 Finale happened one episode too early. despite all of that I still like to show for some reason. I grew up with Teen Titans and at least it's a better alternative to the Teen Titans Go! cartoon.

Gorey vengeance story against Superheroes?
2 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I like offensive humor and I also like gore if it's done right. This show does a great job with gore and the craziness of the Superpowered world! The relationship between Hughie and Starlight wasn't done perfectly, but it was still enjoyable. Acting for the most part was really good as well. Action scenes were great, although there wasn't many of them. There was 1 scene that I didn't like because it was too much weirdness though, which was the A-train's Amped up girlfriend going nuts with her land lord.

A great Villain origin story!

Warning: Spoilers
M. Night really did a good job with this movie, casting was also amazing! James really knocked it out of the park with his performance. You could really see another personality take over, he completely changes his behaviour. Him playing Dennis pretending to be Kevin you can clearly see something is weird but you don't really question it because Kevin and his personalities are already weird. The writing was pretty good, went kinda too superhero at the end with being able to take 2 shotgun shells without even blood. James really carries this movie with his brilliant acting.

Good movie with a kinda bad ending...
12 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Love the start a lot, loved the middle even more, but the ending... For some reason they killed the character that we have waited years for him to come back and it didn't feel right at all. We all know that's how M. Night Shyamalan makes his movies, but that's really disappointing...

I would LOVE to learn more about this world, especially because superpowered people were revealed in the end of the movie. There is incredible potential for this Universe to be amazing if M. Night doesn't screw it up with unnecessary twists.

Amazing action as always

Warning: Spoilers
The John Wick movies have all been fantastic. It really feels like everyone is deeply terrified of 1 retired assassin.

The betrayal at the end of the movie came out of nowhere and did not make much sense, but I guess everyone backstabs in the world of John Wick.

The amount of time Keanu Reeves puts into his training to make it look realistic is amazing. He really gives it his best and it shows.

Unbiased, amazing effects and to the point!
9 August 2019
The title says it all! Just the best news outlet to date. It had a bad season with a certain host but it went uphill immediately after that. Love how to the point the Pew News team is as well. They clearly try to be as unbiased while also being entertaining at the same time which most news outlets cannot do.

The Defenders (2017)

Not the best Marvel mini-series.
9 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
My main concern throughout this series was "how are they going to use all the defenders in a special way'" and what they did was make Iron Fist the "key" and not do anything with him for the whole series. Iron Fist is supposed to be a martial arts master, but somehow Daredevil who is blind has mastered martial arts better than him. Iron Fist was just a in the way and didn't offer anything good to the crossover mini-series.

Fun for the whole family
9 August 2019
This witty crime show is fun for the whole family to watch. Well, if you don't mind all the dead bodies and murderers. One of the longest running Estonian shows and no sign of slowing down yet. Love the writing and the cast.

Preacher (2016–2019)

It's really something special!
9 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This show is just bonkers!

A big time thief, a drug addict Vampire and a criminal turned Preacher who gets a god-like superpower go and search for God while being hunted by a bald man who is in a cult where the Leader kills you with his ass.

Love the show, might be a little odd at certain moments though. Didn't really like that the Preacher lost his power for a while in the second(?) season though, but I do see why it was necessary.

Great show, but didn't enjoy the latest season
9 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Loved the first few seasons, one of my favorites made in the past few years! But for me the newer episodes got too crazy, plus the time jump to a wrecked Gotham felt really off. I'll still watch it to the end because I am invested in the characters but the writing isn't as good as in the older seasons.

Went downhill quite a lot.
8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The first 2 seasons was this shows Pinnacle for me and has not yet topped it with the newer episodes. Introducing Watson's love interest was a big mistake on my mind and her sub-plot did not entice me and did not really work for the series. I still love the series but I feel like it is jumping the shark quite a lot in the new episodes.

Minecraft Epic (2019–2020)

The legendary myth turned to an Epic Saga!
8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Everyone is speechless about this series. Why? Is it because it stars a super popular Felix kjellberg, who got his game from another series called "Scare PewDiePie"? The answer is simple, it's super original, amazing visuals, and a huge, interesting and colorful cast of characters.

This series plays with your emotions every episode, even if it's a Guest episode where irrelevant people show up to ask questions that we are afraid to ask. This show isn't afraid to kill of fan favorites and replace them with different actors. Game of Thrones has a much lower kill rate than this amazing series!

My favorite? No, but still good.
8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is great, don't get me wrong, but it just feels off especially since it chronologically comes after Infinity War which is just the Pinnacle of movie-making.

I did not like that it didn't show much of the world after the Snappening and that they fixed it all by travelling through time. It didn't feel natural.

TL;DR: Great movie but still a bit of a disappointment.

The mystery twins
8 August 2019
Dipper and Mable are twins, they are sent to a place called Gravity Falls for the summer, mystery, hilarity, romance, heartbreak and more mystery insues.

Amazing show, amazing mysteries and tons of likeable characters.

A kids show that is mostly watched by adults because of the frequent edgyness. It is also riddled with mysteries with the world best villain!

Amazing Netflix Original
8 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1: Extremely tight writing and all the characters are likable.

Season 2: Writing a bit loose and Mike is annoyingly selfish and cruel.

Season 3: Mike isn't that good of a character. Amazing visuals and perfectly made to look like the 80's. Also good writing, better than season 2. Bad fake out death scene.

All in all, excited to see where they are going and also really hoping that they are not gonna bring Him back cu of the fans.

Stick with it and your mind will be blown!
19 July 2019
I just can't believe that someone has come up with the plot of this show, he certainly is a genius. Sure, time travel has always been hard to get your head around, but this show is on another lever. It has actually helped me understand how it works/could work. You really have to pay attention and dedicate yourself to watching every second of this show, but it is all worth it. It is intriguing, makes you think harder than any high school math test ever did. But it's not just the great plot and idea that makes it work, it is everything else as well. The actors are great and casting is superb. Characters are played by different actors in their different ages, but they all still look the same. The atmosphere is amazing, creepy but not scary. The soundtrack is just perfect. I can't think of any other show I love and could ever love as much. But maybe I'm just a nerd :D Everything is connected!

Feels like an amateur school movie project
8 July 2019
The worst thing I have seen in a while. The story is boring, the actors can't act, there is nothing funny about this "comedy". There are long scenes that don't give anything to the plot and don't make you laugh, just fillers. Also, there are so many characters and none of them have personalities, they just act like they are a different person in each scene.

Too slow and too many unnecessary characters
2 July 2019
This show could have been done in 2 episodes, but somehow it dragged out to 10. Still, nothing much happens and there are too many characters with their little stories that don't really give much to the series. Why is Ellen Page always this depressed sad character in everything I have seen her in? I need to see more of her work, maybe I haven't seen too many and she can do it some other way as well. Other actors did a decent job and I loved the one episode that took place in the 60s, however, still quite a pointless story and show.
