not what it seems
9 September 2005
this movie was very blue, and not so entertaining. in my opinion the sound was not clear on some parts. most of all it was just kind of hard to watch and i just didn't like it. The title, sex, drugs, and study hall sounds

juicy but the movie does not live up to the

catchy box. instead its a pitiful excuse of a low budget movie. i found it neither touching or funny. if you want to see something long and blue go and rent this movie.for the people to be rich, the sets looked boring and mundane for no reason. the best part is when the character was happy for a short moment.

the creativity is refreshing

When I first saw the movie, I did get a little confused with all the characters and voice-overs. But, thats what style is all about. Doing things different, new, your own way. These may be rappers, but they are very intelligent and wealthy.I can appreciate the busy story telling. What would the movie world be like without pioneers.Look at Citizen Kane, a movie that wasn't given its credit until twenty years later because of new techniques and ideas. Now its a classic movie studied by many.I wonder why wealthy hip-hip moguls are bashed when creative, but what about the low budget likes of Napolean Dynamite. The days of the 3-part traditional movie format is over.State property is making a move in the right direction, with multiple narration and flashbacks.

Me and you... is the type of movie that you can come in at any point and get into the characters and the plot.I saw it at the U.S.A. Film Festival in Dallas.I missed the beginning, and I heard a few people walked out because of a soft porn scene.I absolutely loved the movie, the actors were perfect for the parts, all of them. I noticed that I was actually sitting next to John Hawke, who was very a funny, honest character.(He was laughing too)Expect to laugh, laugh, and giggle,I was very impressed.Miranda J. is brilliant, she is a really talented actress, who plays a quirky struggling artist, very funny. This movie touches on things that we think, and feel everyday, but are scared to tell. The characters do a great job of making you feel and love each and every one of them.
