The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun (2021)
Beautiful Film About Nothing
It's hard to criticise this film as it's just so aesthetically pleasing.
But the hard truth is that this film is just about absolutely nothing, zero plot, zero storyline, zero direction.
I really wanted to give this film a chance but unfortunately had to give in and switched it off about halfway through due to pure boredom.
Stay Close (2021)
Poor Effort
Started Watching this as the trailer looked quite promising.
It didn't take me long to start noticing some really poor acting and characters. Which just seemed to get worse and worse as it went on. I gave up on episode 3 as I started to realise this was a bit of a car crash production.
I'd say looking back on it now it felt a lot like a knock off Hollyoaks. Which admittedly is quite fun and cliche to watch when you're about 17 but I expected much more from a Netflix production.
Poor production, poor characters and poor acting. All in all a poor effort.
Idiocracy (2006)
The Most Accurate Depiction of 2021 America
Along with Aldous Huxleys Brave New World this is probably the most accurate depiction of 2021 America I have ever seen.
Id go as far as saying this is genius! Beneath the surface of a cheese 00s comedy is a warning and prediction of the Wests destiny into a slow and painful decline.
Tiny House Nation (2014)
Supper Lame Concept
Stupid concept, trying to make living in a trailer sound more edgy or quirky!
Countryfile (1988)
Yet More Woke BBC Nonsense
Yet more woke propaganda from the BBC. Save your money and cancel your BBC license!
South Park: South ParQ Vaccination Special (2021)
Well I Always Knew this Day Would Come...
It's finally happened, South Park is no longer funny.
I mean credit where credit is due, it managed to stay funny and relevant for an insane amount of time. Far longer than the Simpsons which completely nose dived after Season 9.
This episode was just completely meh. It just wasn't funny or witty. It just wasn't South Park.
V for Vendetta (2005)
A Blueprint or Warning a for 2020?
Watching this in 2020 is eerily identical to current events. Perhaps this was a blueprint or a warning?
A great film but a little bit too close to home.
