The 1st season was riveting. I rarely jump out of my seat for TV, but the 1st season made me do it a couple of times. I wasn't sure about how I felt about the continual storyline at first - but I LOVED IT first season. The next episode couldn't come quick enough. That season is 10 stars!!

I'm guessing the writers are different for the 2nd season. Most episodes were just noise in my background, but some episodes were good like the 1st season. I don't look forward to it anymore, but I still watch it just in case the old vibe decides to resurrect. I think the continual storyline bit them in the butt this season (2nd). This season is 5 stars... and that's why I'm giving it a 7 star rating overall.

Love this show... It shows black men from a point of view that the world does not see them. It's a lovely narrative with lovely actors. Unfortunately, because it isn't filled with sex, drugs, cursing, hate, destruction and everything else the world craves (to make themselves fill better about their bad decisions)... it probably won't survive. I'm glad to have experienced it though and I hope it at least gets a 2nd season. Well done to the cast and writers.

Really wish this wasn't canceled... but of course it was! Unless the show is filled with sex, scandal, and destruction - it won't survive. :/

I wish someone would create a network for these types of shows to survive.

The writers love to rip your heart out and kill people you don't want or expect to die.... But I also respect that type of writing because that's how life goes sometimes. I've never cried watching TV as much as I have watching 19.

I dislike a couple of the characters- but that's real life too. Lol

I love how close of a family they are, though.

Surprised a show about firefighters is interesting. I've learned to respect firefighters more on this show - I didn't know how much they could possibly go through or see in their line of work. They really deserve their flowers!!!
