Bodies (2023)

Excellently directed, the plot sucks
21 November 2023
This series starts off brilliantly. It seems the plot will perfectly unfold slowly leaving you in the dark and completely invested like all great movies (Shutter island for example). But don't be fooled, it won't. The directing was excellent, the switching between the timelines was spot on. After the first four or five episodes, the plot is already rather clear. After this, they just strechted it, it certainly can be a few episodes shorter to improve it overall. The end completely lacks any logic if you think about it. They completely blew it. After finishing the series, I can with a 100% certainty say this series was completely inspired on the Netflix series "Dark". The switching between the timelines and literally the whole plot is directly inspired on this, but just a bit worse and newer. Only watch this series if you have nothing else to watch, because the first episodes were class I have to give it to them I was hooked. But expect to be let down in the end. If you like something like this go watch "Dark", but that series also has a end in the third season that lets you down, another similarity to "Bodies". But Dark is far better especially the first seasons. I hate comparing movies or series btw, but if you watch both you will also see the copy paste by Netflix. Hope you guys appreciate my honest rating and watching advice!

Thanks for saving this one ewan
25 June 2022
First of all I want to thank Ewan and Hayden for doing an absolutely outstanding job in bringing back the star wars nostalgia I experienced years ago. The final battle is epic, this is what everyone has waited for. Besides this, there isn't something postive to say. How could you possibly write a script this bad?! The main character seemed to be not obi wan, but Reeva, a character played by Moses Ingram. I especially want to highlight how bad Moses Ingram played this. It is painful to watch and this needs to be said. When you do such a bad job at something that most people dream of doing you should be absolutely ashamed. Definately noth worth starting a disney+ account for.

The Book of Boba Fett (2021–2022)
7/10
Part of it was insanely good, the rest not so much
26 February 2022
For starters, please remove the mods immediately, I don't know anyone who isn't annoyed by these completely out of the story personages. Like why are there a bunch of kids on shiny vespa's with guns smaller than banana's in the poorest streets of mos eisly?

Besides this, there were many exciting parts for the real star wars fans. Like the mando part, the flashbacks, krrsantan, skywalker and some other parts (don't want to spoil it but some notorious blue guy). The actors playing boba, fennec and the mod gang really let this series down. Boba's acting was okay in the flashbacks, but fennec's acting was horrendously bad. I allready said too much about the mod gang please kill them off first minute next season. Overall, I did look forward to a new episode every wednesday, but felt a little disappointed sometimes.

Very cheap sequel
30 November 2021
If you are looking for an average action film with a very cheap written storyline, look no further. This whole storyline is a standard army and drugs conspiracy cliché. Even tom cruise's acting didn't make up for it. What makes it even worse is the performance of cobie smulders and danika yarosh. It was just embarrasing to watch. All in all, the first Jack Reacher was fun to watch, but this is just not worth your time. 4/10.

Finally a decent action film in 2021
17 November 2021
First of all, I really like the originality of the plot. Although there is quite some sci fi it still feels very real. The only thing bothering was that it isn't very logical at times, some choices seem as dumb as in a horror fulm. But what makes this film stand out are the action scenes. The combination of really good cgi and great choreography really makes this film stand out above others. Ejiofor really carried the film with his spot on performance, because apart from wahlberg and him, the acting was very poor. I recommend watching, and am excited for more amazon content because the quality is far higher than most netflix films.

What you expect from a netflix production
16 November 2021
I think the director should really be ashamed. There are so much goofs during action scenes that it is annoying to watch. The plot keeps you entertained with a few twists and unexpected moves, but the entrance of a few characters like "the bishop" is the same every time and too predictable. It is like watching the same scene three times. However, the good acting of especially ryan who is fit just right for the role makes it entertaining to watch. Could have have been a 6,5 if it wasn't for the garbage action scenes (just look at ryan's stunt double there went 0 effort in making him look the same). I am also still waiting for a netflix film to have its cgi not look worse than some films 20 years ago. Despite the 4 rating, I recommend watching it if you have nothing else.
