Rebecca (2020)
a very nice movie made in 2020
For those of us that respect hitchcock but don't idolize him.
it is a nice movie that is directed to the current audience and not those hang on their memberries.
Interesting plot, atmosfaeric scenes, proper acting. Elements that compose a success.
Horse Girl (2020)
Selling blank canvas for high art
Nice sound/music, picture, scenes, sets.
cheap, pretentious, lazy, writting and directing.
it's "viewerbait" trying to impose dillemas, makes people think they are smart for wondering, while it actually has no substance.
The Trip to Greece (2020)
total waste
I have seen every kind of low quality videos, never something as unwatchable as this
Auggie (2019)
awful script
This is a fine example of waste of tallent.
Great directing, photocgraphy and editing came together.
But there was no actual story to tell. Its marked as Sci-Fi while its actualy the totaly unscietific, technophobia of the writer. roled into a bad family story.
Gueule d'ange (2018)
Cruel sensation offered by realistic individuals
Offering some cruel truths, providing some emotional thrils.
The directing had some gaps while in some cases it was overdoing it.
Scenes will be remembered but the movie will not.
Someone Great (2019)
Supposed to be rom com, actualy its nothing
Yet an other movie about 30y olds trying to be 20y olds, ending up, acting like 12y olds . just that this one is even more poorly written then most
The Orville: Identity, Part II (2019)
A great conclusion
That was a great conclusion to a 2 part story binding even more of the details from past episodes and utilizing a full cast not sidewiding anyone.
My only regret that it deserved even more playtime i would prefer it in a 3 part story to fully develop the great work they did. I bet there were plenty of nice deled scenes
The Orville: Identity (2019)
Just Wow
Beyond the unexpected twists, which really peaked my interest, in the story of the episode and the overal progress of the show, this episode had more great attributes
It was very well written, avoiding plot holes, like other series and even some other episodes, of this show, that were not as great.
The visual effects, the pictures, the acting, all seem to be at a real proffesional high grade level.
Directing, both of the visual as well as the auditorial elements, are at a high cinematic grade.
This is a true sample of excellence.
The Orville (2017)
Pure Entertaining Sci-Fi
It was described as homage, spin off, ripoff, hybrid, clone and other things.
i say no, none of the above. There is no virgin TV Genre, Like every other series has borrowed elements from previously series. And yes way more from one rather then others, but don't we all follow more the paths that we are familiar with, or that we love or respect more the others?
Although it is categorized as comedy it's really not comedy, not even that funny, just a few splashes of humor from time to time and not even so good most of the time. This seems to be an intentional injection just enough to make it borderline cheesy as a good Sci-Fi series should be, in order to keep the viewers grounded to reality by reminding them that this is only a fictional world that offers entertainment. Not a glimpse at a reality that they should be obsessed with.
Still Sci-Fi viewers like (or rather, demand, some times) to have the fictional material presented to them, obeying some rules in that fictional universe. The orville seems to fair well at this creating a realistic enough approach for us viewers to dive our minds into.
Going against the forced commercial guidelines that lately dictate "modern sci fi" series have to be dark, action packed, space operas and vague enough to go for ever without ever making any point of existence at all. The Orville has just the right amount of action, drama but most of all logic.
Finally i would like to make a note that the bias coming from the professional critics along with the hiring of the, until then, most-likely to appear in the show actor for a sci fi series without name, script or cast. Proves that some people spend lots of money to prevent The Orville from becoming the new icon Sci-Fi Entertainment program
Star Trek: Voyager: Displaced (1997)
A most excellent episode
This is one of the most imaginative episodes that i have encountered. It takes the crew of Voyager facing a "peacfull" enemy which tries to take over the ship without any real force used.
I was a little disappointed by the fact, that, they had a great script for this episode but they had to rush it in just one episode in expense of reasoning in some points. This should had been a 2 parts story in order to really develop the whole story, add a little to the plot and show the true potential of some dramatic scenes a little more.
Still the story came out nicely by both actors who have shown their character's best abilities and by the script which involved action, originality in the plot and sensation.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Explorers (1995)
Totally out of order
This episode does not belong to any of the star trek series.
It's script has way too many incoherences not only to any sci-fi logic, to the entire star trek universe, to DS9 series, but even to it'self. Those flaws are too many to describe but i would suggest to those that pay too much attention in the series coherence to skip this episode in order to avoid getting frustrated.
The only thing that i would say you could find interesting is the first appearance of Sisko with a goatee which may stand for the turning of him to a more serious character for the rest of the series (like he wasn't a stiff already), he also shows some interest in galactic archeology and history (a futile attempt to come closer to the character of Picard) and the first (unreasonably) friendly gesture by the cardasians towards him, without any gain for them.
