Airing from 2005 to 2014 on CBS, How I Met Your Mother became one of the cultish sitcoms in TV history. It introduced us to five friends, Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily, and it was the first one who was looking for love throughout the whole show.
While Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders, who portrayed Barney and Robin, are staying in the public eye, the Ted Mosby actor, Josh Radnor, is rarely seen on the big screen after 2014. Luckily, there are still some titles starring him we need to check out.
The years after Himym concluded Radnor scored one of the main roles in the period drama Mercy Street (2016 - 2017). Later he was employed as the lead of NBC’s Rise (2018), a musical drama about a teacher on his complicated journey to inspire his students to the art of theater.

AnnaSophia’s Perspective on Height and Perception
“Everyone always says that guys are intimidated by me,” she told Teen Vogue in 2013, “but I seriously doubt it. I mean, I’m five-foot-nothing!”
“I think I must make a stank face,” she joked. “I loved high school,” AnnaSophia added.
“Everyone always asks me if the other kids treated me differently because of my career, but they didn’t. If you act weird, people are going to treat you weird, but if you’re just yourself, people respond to that.

It seems that not a single Gunn’s announcement related to the upcoming ‘Superman’ reboot can go without controversy. A while back, when Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl, the director was criticized for having an all-white main cast of the movie.
Now the most recent outrage is directed toward the cast being “D-List” in nature. Everything started with the announcement that Pruitt Taylor Vince will be cast as Jonathan Kent in the upcoming reboot with Neva Howell cast as Martha Kent, Superman’s adoptive human mother.
Even though both actors are established in their own right with medium-sized roles, none of them in the past has led blockbusters. Vince will star as a series regular in the upcoming Apple TV+ series ‘Lady in the Lake,’ alongside Natalie Portman, set to release this summer. His extensive television work includes appearances in popular series such as Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things,’ Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,...

It appears that every announcement about James Gunn’s upcoming ‘Superman’ reboot sparks controversy. Some time ago, when Milly Alcock was cast as Supergirl, the director faced criticism for assembling an all-white main cast (despite Supergirl not being a part of main cast…)
Now, the latest uproar revolves around the perceived “D-List” nature of the cast. It all began with the announcement of Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent and Neva Howell as Martha Kent, Superman’s adoptive human parents, in the upcoming reboot.
Although both actors have established themselves with medium-sized roles, neither has previously headlined blockbuster films. Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and Ben Rappaport (For the People) are set as leads in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC’s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — three of them played by Fumero, Robb and Rappaport — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.
Fumero plays Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker, self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain beneath her facade, Birdie is a successful author whose memoir, “Digging for Gold: Dancing Through Divorce,” is a bestseller.

After collaborating on the crime drama TV series Fargo, Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead extended their romantic relationship from the screen to real life. The couple joined the cast during season 3 of Noah Hawley’s series and played each other’s romantic interests. They first met on the set of the show in 2017.
Riley Stearns was Winstead’s ex-husband at the time, while McGregor was still married to Eve Mavrakis. The Fargo costars began dating shortly after their respective marriages ended. The Mercy Street actress may be a talented actress in her own right, but she could not resist the allure of her now-husband, Ewan McGregor.

Hello, and welcome to the Scene 2 Seen Podcast. I am Valerie Complex, an associate editor and film writer at Deadline. Today I’m chatting with Power Book III: Raising Kanan star, Patina Miller. As a major talent across film, television and musical theater Miller portrays Raquel “Raq” Thomas on the Starz original series which is coming up on the end of its third season.
Raising Kanan is the third show in the Power Universe. This one is about a young Kanan Stark (played by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s character from the first series) and how he joins his family’s growing and dangerous drug business. It takes place in Queens, New York during the 1990’s.
Raq is the mother of Kanan. To Kanan, she might come across as affectionate, yet on the streets, she embodies the epitome of toughness, navigating the male-dominated world with a blend of coldness, determination,...

Back in its heyday, How To Get Away With Murder was one of the hottest shows on television.
Thursday nights on ABC were once the night that Shonda Rhimes built from start to finish, with Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and the aforementioned legal drama setting the interwebs on fire every week.
The series was a bonafide hit from the start and constantly had social media ablaze as viewers were thrust into murderous coverups and shocking twists every season.
It’s been over three years since the series signed off, and while we’re still reliving all the bloody mayhem during our various rewatches, the cast has moved on to other projects. And what projects might those be? Let’s look at what the cast of How To Get Away With Murder is doing now!

It still might be a little while before we’re able to go back to the movies again. Thankfully, with its list of new releases for February 2021, Amazon Prime is bringing the theater home. The movies are the real appeal this month.
Amazon’s offerings are highlighted by two original films of note. The first is Bliss, which premieres on Feb. 5. This will star Owen Wilson and Salma Hayek as a couple experiencing some intimacy issues. Presumably this is all just a tune up for when Wilson dons a mustache in Disney+’s Loki later in May. The other film is the sci-fi rom-com The Map of Tiny Perfect Things on Feb. 12.
Other library movies include Antz, Moulin Rouge, The Prestige, The Village, and Dazed and Confused, all of which arrive on Feb. 1. Sonic the Hedgehog is set to arrive later on Feb. 18.
Amazon is premiering only one new original series this month.

Exclusive: CBS is developing Repeat, a drama series executive produced by Masi Oka and Sabrina Wind, from ABC Studios.
Written and executive produced by David Zabel Repeat is based on the award-winning book of the same name by Kurumi Inui and the 2018 TV series, which aired on Yomiuri Television in Japan.
The project was originally set up by Oka and Wind at CBS last year with a different writer, David Hayter. It did not go to pilot but CBS remained high on the concept and put it in redevelopment. Zabel came on board to pen a new take on the underlying material.
In Repeat, after a group of strangers is mysteriously propelled back 10 months in time, giving them the chance to right wrongs, undo mistakes, and set their lives on a better path, these “repeaters” soon find that changing their fate is a tricky endeavor with unforeseen and even deadly consequences.

Expect to see more of Erica Sinclair around Hawkings in the future. Priah Ferguson, who plays the sister of Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) on Stranger Things, has been upped to series regular for its upcoming fourth season, sources tell Deadline. Netflix would not comment.
Ferguson had a minor guest role in a few Season 2 episodes but was more prominent in the series’ third run.
At the end of 1985-set Season 3, Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) is seen taking her sons and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) out of the Indiana town to start a new life. There is a jump in geography in the final scene, which takes place in the far eastern end of the Ussr, where guards are feeding a prisoner to an imprisoned Demogorgon, but “not the American.” That American was widely assumed to be Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and a teaser video for Season 4 suggests that it was.

Rumors have been flying around the past few months about the status of the director of the next Venom movie. People were pretty sure Ruben Fleischer, director of Venom, wouldn’t be back for its sequel, and now we know that to be true. Kelly Marcel is set to return to write the script, with Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson back to star. Production is scheduled to start in Atlanta in November, so now all they need is a director.
I’m no expert, but if I had to choose a replacement, I’d start with either Jennifer Lynch, the daughter of director David Lynch, or Jeremy Webb. They each have a history of working on projects I like, dark, and humorous, with some superhero stuff mixed in. I think they could both be suitable for this project. But I’d also be down for some new skin in the game.
