The Big Bang Theory is without doubt one of the most iconic ensemble cast series ever created. All the main characters of the nerd-centric comedy are relatable and at the same time quirky as hell. All the storylines explored in the series are either strange and really cringey, or sweet and meaningful. And that’s what makes it brilliant.
The main characters of the series are Howard, Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, and Penny. Later some of the new characters were added to the permanent cast and characters like Amy, Bernadette and Stuart appeared a lot more on the screen.
The most interesting thing though is about Stuart. The actor Kevin Sussman first auditioned for the role of Howard, but ended up being a looner named Stuart whose gig was to be miserable. However, in the episode called The Hofstadter Isotope he successfully hit on Penny and ended up dating her for a moment.

Hallmark Channel continues to expand its scripted series content with The Chicken Sisters. The upcoming original series is based on Kj Dell’Antonia’s bestselling 2020 novel. Variety was the first to report the news. The Chicken Sisters will star Lea Thompson, Genevieve Angelson, Schuyler Fisk, and Wendie Malick. The show, which will consist of eight episodes, is currently in production now and will air later this year. The Goldbergs and Shrinking EP Annie Mebane is serving as both executive producer and showrunner. There will be plenty of drama and romance in The Chicken Sisters. The series is a family drama set in the fictional town of Merinac, “where a generations-old rift between dueling fried chicken restaurants – Mimi’s and Frannie’s – has left the founders’ families fractured and the locals taking sides.” A popular cooking show comes to town, which only complicates the town tension. “Annie Mebane blew us away...

‘Succession’ has gone out with one final bang: The HBO drama won two Writers Guild of America Awards on Sunday night — the most of any series — for best drama series and also for best drama episode. Creator Jesse Armstrong was on hand in New York to accept the award, while several of the show’s writers were also in LA to accept the honor.
This reps the final major awards show where “Succession” (which ended its run last May) was still eligible. Besides best drama, the show also won the episodic drama prize, for the episode “Living+,” written by Georgia Pritchett and Will Arbery.
The WGA Awards recognized the best of 2023’s television and film via its annual event held this year at the Hollywood Palladium for the West Coast edition and at New York’s Edison Ballroom for the East Coast ceremony.

As “Curb Your Enthusiasm” prepares to bid farewell after a 24-year run and 12 seasons on HBO, star J.B. Smoove argues there’s one mystery left unsolved that he’d love to see get the spin-off treatment: What was Leon Black up to before he met Larry David?

Shaun and his best mate Ed are in trouble. They’ve discovered two zombies in their garden, and the lumbering flesh-eaters show no signs of stopping. However, Shaun and Ed have found one way of slowing the approach: throwing records.
And so, as the two zombies grow closer, Ed and Shaun rustle through the latter’s collection. “Sign o’ the Times … Purple Rain,” Ed suggests as projectiles, only to have Shaun tell him no. That is until Ed reaches a low point in Prince’s discography, the Batman soundtrack. “Throw it,” Shaun commands, striking a blow against the living dead.
The above scene is just one instance of the humor and horror that director Edgar Wright and his co-writer Simon Pegg bring to the RomZomCom Shaun of the Dead, released twenty years ago. Shaun (Pegg) and Ed (Nick Frost) spend a lot of time discussing their pop-cultural interests, even in the most dire situations.

It’s clear that the streaming success Suits has found on Netflix has led to this moment, and it may spur additional interest in Suits L.A.

Last month, it was announced that writer/producer Judalina Neira is developing a TV series reimagining of the classic sitcom Bewitched for Sony Pictures Television, aiming to turn it into an “irreverent hourlong” show. NBC clearly likes the idea of reviving Bewitched, because now Deadline has broken the news that the network has their own “Bewitched-inspired” show called Something Wicked in the works, and this one already has a star attached: June Diane Raphael, who may be best known for playing the character Brianna Hanson for the 94 episodes that make up the Netflix series Grace and Frankie, which ran for seven seasons.
Raphael is also writing and executive producing Something Wicked with Dickinson creator Alena Smith. A multi-camera comedy, the show is described as having a Bewitched-type premise and will also serve as an homage to TV sitcom classics. It examines the condition of modern adult womanhood and how even with witchcraft,...

Who’s ready for a joyride? The long-rumored Ferris Bueller’s Day Off spin-off, Sam and Victor’s Day Off, is ready to twist and shout with David Katzenberg at the helm. According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Katzenberg is buckling up for a film featuring the two mischievous valets who borrowed Cameron’s father’s Ferrari to rip through the streets of Chicago joyously! In his newsletter, Sneider says the duo’s adventure takes place on a single day, with Sam and Victor grabbing life by the short and curlies for a fast-paced tear through city streets.
Sam and Victor’s Day Off will be Katzenberg’s feature directorial debut after helming numerous television episodes for various shows. Famously known in the industry for directing 41 episodes of The Goldbergs, Katzenberg’s director credits extend to Young Rock, 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Schooled, Riverdale, and more.

A year and a half on from the project’s announcement, the valet-centric Ferris Bueller spin-off flick now has a director, but its script still isn’t finalised, according to reports.
It was all the way back in August of 2022 that we heard that the iconic 1986 comedy, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, would be getting a spin-off movie. Apparently, the film is set to ‘follow the two valets who took Cameron’s father’s cherry red Ferrari on a joy ride through Chicago and had their own adventure on that fateful day back in 1986.’ If you watched Ferris Bueller’s Day Off then you know exactly what we’re talking about.
If you’ve never watched Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, then why are you here reading this when you could be watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off for the first time?

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Guest Star Troy Kotsur Reveals the Joke That Made Larry David Break Character
Note: The following story contains spoilers from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” Season 12, Episode 3.
Sunday’s episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” titled “Vertical Drop, Horizontal Tug,” sees Larry David hit the golf course, where he eavesdrops on a lesson that improves his swing a little too well.
The lesson is given to Troy Kotsur, a deaf actor who is best known for his Academy Award-winning supporting role in the Apple TV+ film “Coda.” Through the rest of the episode, Kotsur’s feud with David intensifies as he’s hit in the back by one of Larry’s golf balls and later hit with a bagel intended for a homeless man.
To keep the narrative spontaneous, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is shot without a script. Cast members are given scene outlines so they can improvise lines as they go. The actor opened up about how his prior experience in improv helped him make David...

American Born Chinese actor Ben Wang needs to start practicing his crane kicks because he’s the star of Sony’s new Karate Kid. Wang’s casting comes after a global search for the right actor. Wang beat thousands of competitors for the role, with 10,000 entries reported in 24 hours. The anticipated film finds Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio reprising their roles from previous chapters of the Karate Kid franchise.
To say Wang’s audition was impressive would be an understatement. Not only did he display a profound understanding of the character, but he’s also fluent in Mandarin and trained in multiple martial arts forms. His arsenal of skills includes karate, wing chun/kung fu, gumdo, Kempo, and taekwondo training.
Details about the plot remain a mystery, though we hear Sony will move the story to the East Coast and focus on a teen from China who finds identity and strength in martial arts.

If you’re like me and haven’t heard of CBC’s Son of a Critch, I hope to change that. Like The Goldbergs, this sitcom is based on the life of its creator and also happens to be set in the 80s. But if there’s one thing missing from that show that Critch has in spades, it’s Malcolm McDowell. The actor has had such a storied career that seeing him in a sitcom is surprising. Yet everything about it works, and he looks to be having an absolute blast. So I was excited to be able to talk to both McDowell and the series creator, Mark Critch, about their show. I watched the first two episodes of the new season, and this kind of show is right up my alley. Very light-hearted, it has a bit of a Wonder Years vibe, and I love the “on-the-nose” narration.

Okay, Larry David might actually be done this time. The comedian's long-running series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has taken a few breaks since it first debuted an impressive 24 years ago, including a six-year hiatus between seasons 8 and 9. Every season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has felt like it could be the last for years, but the new trailer for the show's 12th season – which has been announced as its last — has a genuine sense of finality. As usual, though, the fictional Larry David seems poised to make a hilarious exit.
The new trailer doesn't give too much away about the plot of "Curb" season 12, but it's characteristically flippant about the show's ending. "Larry is back for one final act," the title cards read. "Don't be mad he's leaving, be mad he stayed so long." In keeping with tradition for the meta-comedy, a whole slew of guest stars seem to be ready to say goodbye,...

We don’t really need a reboot of Mean Girls, or indeed a film adaptation of the stage musical. But there you go, we are where we are. And that’s 2024, 20 years after the release of the seminal high school movie starring Lindsay Lohan which was based on the non-fiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman. Fashions have changed, social media is now ubiquitous, but teenage girls are still cliquey and judgey so the story hasn’t required a massive update. Perhaps that’s to its detriment, because this movie, directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., is really an example of pop culture eating itself. The musical came because people liked the film. Now the new film exists, presumably for people who like the musical, while not having the unique selling point of it being on the stage. But if you can get over the audacity...
