This Blue Bloods episode is a real doosy. When you have brother and sister both in law enforcement time and circumstance may put you on opposite sides on a given case. I remember when I was an alternate juror on a case a police officer was in fact called by the defense so I know for a fact it can happen.
In a case where Bridget Moynahan is the prosecutor during a recess the defense attorney takes a call from someone asking to meet him outside. Moynahan finds her adversary on a bench in the small park in front of Foley Square stabbed to death. Who should catch the case but Donnie Wahlberg.
Before it's all over Wahlberg is hip deep not only in her investigation but involved in the case his sister is prosecuting. So much so that the new defense attorney Anjanue Ellis calls him as a witness. She's outstanding in her performance by the way.
The climax is of course Moynahan's cross examination of her brother. You decide who comes out better.
Things are really tense at the Reagan dinner.
