Great episode/other reviews lately???
I have not written the review in a while. And even so I've not written that many. Though I do feel some reviewers are extraordinarily harsh regarding some episodes. I understand TV shows will take history and use some creative licensing. I don't know the difference between the Ontario Mennonites and the Mennonites of Pennsylvania. But I did not see anything such as a hack job on their term for the Mennonites and especially the word "colonies". One reviewer mentioned something about them, not doing shunning. I've actually heard of them doing shunning. Again, it may be geographical as far as whether or not a men and I Community does shunning or not, but I have heard of them doing shunning. So I felt it was an undue criticism.
I have felt some episode stronger than others in the last few seasons. But that's common with any show you watch. I've noticed some viewers, loving episode while others hated it.
I do agree with some reviewers that I think Julia is just one pain in the tush in quite a few episodes. Sure the actress is very lovely. I just think the character that she plays is lacking greatly. I especially hate her breath verbiage. Which to me so many times sent sounds like she's on the verge of an orgasm. I find it incredibly annoying, and kind of gross. But then that's my opinion.
I found this episode very delightful and I did kind of agree with one viewer that I liked that it was down to the only the two storylines. Unless they're soap opera episodes, I find it unnecessary to have too many storylines in one episode. But when they are a continuation, I find them insightful then.
I truly enjoy Murdoch mysteries greatly, and have even gotten my one son to get hooked on the show as well. He's much like myself that I like shows that have a theme of the late 1800s early 1900s time period. And my son in particular enjoys them as well.
Overall, this was a great episode with well written ending.
