His first role? Kinda cool to see him. As for the episode, lots going on & lots to keep track of, but not all that great. Big Goof when the Captain said she was 12 when her brother was injured in Iraq (1990 was when the first war started). The actress was 30 in 1990, and no one would buy the storyline that she was born in 1978. When she was 12, the Vietnam War was in full swing, so the writers need a history lesson.

Blue Bloods very rarely cuts loose and does something for fun. While the show is rarely wholly grim, it is just as rarely outright fun. The last time the writers did something for kicks was the Bullitt Mustang way back in season six. This time it's Jimmy Buffet and Jimmy Buffet's doppelgänger both played by the genuine article.
Conversely, Frank's story about an officer taking goods and services "on the arm" is incredibly serious and shines a light on inconsistencies in general police policy and on how the breakdown in race relations in the last few years must have worn on minority officers. It is serious but it doesn't overpower Danny's delightful adventure with Jimmy Buffet so this was a refreshing change of pace for the stalwart show.

Enjoyed this episode, except the Captain. She was thoroughly annoying. Also.....everyone's first concert was top-tier? They should've thrown in some obscure names instead of Buffet, Springsteen, Jay-Z, 50-Cent, Sinatra, Kiss, Michael Jackson, and Rolling Stones. I mean I realize they live in NYC but c'mon... But hey, for gits & shiggles, Eddie's first concert should've been Backstreet Boys or NSYNC and then Danny give her hell about boy bands. Or Eric should've snuck out to see her crush Marky Mark. The irony of her character brother's real brother.

Unfortunately, one reviewer doesn't understand military directions: Although Buffett is at Danny's 12 o'clock position, he is indeed at Baez' 9 o'clock since she turns left to see him. When pointing out an object, the position is always relative to the person you are directing.

Such a unusual-ly refreshingly unique episode. Truly amazing subplots, I for one, who's been watching police shows for decades, would ever expect to see. So well done with the usual show of humanity and the Regan logic. Loved it! Can't wait to see the next "hacker busted" episode. A perfect 10/10 from me - even if just for the originality in the entire episode's writing.
Jamie Reagan is turning into an absolute idiot.

We already have had Baez who sounds like an idiot survive several near misses...why? She should have been replaced long ago. Danny had a good prospective girlfriend in the psychic who could add her "gift" to this series. She's smarter than Linda was, far smarter and better looking than clownish Baez and could improve the story line. Eddie used to be cute ..now she's suddenly challenging her husband on everything instead of being the stand up person she used to be and the one she expects HIM to be. How did the show improve by turning her into a dumb blonde? There is such inconsistency in the story lines and character development as if they're letting newbies try their hand very week without even knowing their characters. Used to like the premise of the show but too many "cooks" have screwed up the recipe.
