The Oscar-nominee turned on-screen avenging angel is joining the previously announced Zachary Levi in the new action-thriller from Guy Moshe. Cameras will start rolling in late summer. The rest of the ensemble will be cast in the coming weeks.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Liam Neeson to ‘Hotel Tehran,'” Moshe said. “He is a true thespian and an icon in our industry. The character he plays, Larry, is complex, irreverent, and inspired by real people. In the pilot episode of "Star Trek: Voyager," called "Caretaker", Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) went to a Federation penal facility to talk to Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill), once a pilot for the illegal group of Federation separatists called the Maquis. Captain Janeway, you see, needed an observer and former Maquis member to help her track down other members of the organization -- currently hiding in a dangerous part of space called the Badlands -- as part of her first mission commanding the U.S.S. Voyager. Tom Paris had little to lose, even though he wasn't particularly fond of Starfleet. This author once attended a "Star Trek" convention where some of the "Voyager" showrunners admitted that McNeill was hired largely to provide sex appeal to the show; he was to be its "bad boy."

Nearly a quarter-century has passed since Aardman hatched its first feature, and the generation that flipped for “Chicken Run” — tickled by the novelty of watching a pseudo-serious genre movie rendered silly by an ensemble of stop-motion poultry — has grown up to be parents. Distributed by DreamWorks, the 2000 toon reimagined “The Great Escape” with chickens, as a doomed flock schemed to fly the coop of a WWII-style concentration camp run by the intimidating Mrs. Tweedy (Miranda Richardson).

The “Shazam!” actor called the rules surrounding what actors can and cannot discuss amid the strike as “so dumb” while onstage at New York Comic-Con. Now, Levi has issued a statement to IndieWire to voice his support for the ongoing strike.
“It’s come to my attention that an offhand remark I made in jest last weekend is being taken out of context,” Levi said. “So let me be very clear. I fully support my union, the WGA, and the strike. I remain an outspoken critic of the exploitative system that us artists are subject to work in since I started my journey in this business 25 years ago. This strike is necessary to protect ourselves, our writers, and all those working in production who make the industry move.”

Can it really be 20 years since “The O.C.” premiered on Fox? The young actors of the series, Benjamin McKenzie, Adam Brody, Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson quickly became in-demand stars and the theme song “California” by Phantom Planet became a top ten hit in several countries while also reaching 35 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart.
The bagel-centric series also introduced us to “Chrismukkah” and showcased bands from The Killers to Modest Mouse.
Several members of the cast went on to lead their own series and films and others have popped up on hit shows from “How I Met Your Mother” to “Grey’s Anatomy.” Here’s what they’ve been up to since “The O.C.” signed off in February 2007.

Benjamin McKenzie, who played O.C. newbie Ryan Atwood, went on to star as an LA cop on TNT’s “Southland” and as James Gordon on Fox’s Batman prequel series “Gotham.

The mid-2000s were an excellent time for serialized action shows. There were 24, Lost, Chuck, Prison Break and loads more. But, perhaps the best of all of them – for a while anyway – was J.J. Abrams’ Alias, which starred Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, a black ops agent for what she thinks is a unit of the CIA, Sd-6. Of course, the truth turns out to be much deadlier, as Sydney finds out in the influential pilot episode, which aired September 30th, 2001.
The series immediately became a big hit, with Jennifer Garner rivalling Angelina Jolie for a while as one of the top female action stars of the era. It paved the way for her to be cast as Elektra in the early Marvel movie Daredevil (a role she reprises in Deadpool 3), and the show also offered an early part to a young Bradley Cooper, who played her friend Will Tippin.

Former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista is all over Hollywood these days. He's appeared in films like "Spectre," "Blade Runner 2049," "Army of the Dead," "Dune," "Stuger," "Knock at the Cabin," and "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery." He is, of course, currently starring in the Marvel film "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," reprising the role of Drax the Destroyer. The character is the heart of this group and, along with Mantis (Pom Klementieff), the comic relief. Drax takes everything literally, sometimes thinks he can make himself invisible, and would do absolutely anything for his friends.
When he was up for the role of Drax in the 2014 film "Guardians of the Galaxy," he couldn't have known how much his life would change when James Gunn cast him. He'd been auditioning and had seen other wrestlers like Dwayne Johnson make the transition from wrestling to acting, but it hadn't really taken off for him yet.

Secret Agents. We love them. What’s not to love? They go to exotic locations, seduce beautiful women, use insanely cool gadgets, drive awesome cars, and just kick ass. I don’t know about you, but I wanted to be one when I was growing up. But the thought of doing a push-up at the time was as hard as skydiving. So I grew up, and the closest I ever got was asking for a vodka martini shaken, not stirred, at a bar once….which I immediately spit out on the floor. So yeah, I was never going to be James Bond.
But then I found a show that made me believe that in another world, a schlubby loser like me could be a superspy. What was the show? Well, it was Chuck, of course.
Yes, Chuck, the show about that Best Buy… Uh, I mean…. “Buy More”, Geek Squad…...

Matt Reeves may be planning his Batman film saga as a trilogy, but that doesn't mean we'll only be seeing his take on Gotham City inside those films. Spin-off films and TV series are in the works, which will highlight all the villains who make up Batman's rogues gallery; the Scarecrow, Clayface, and Professor Pyg have been mentioned as potential stars.
The spin-off furthest along in production stars Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin. Farrell had a supporting role in "The Batman," with Penguin (or "Oz" as he prefers) being the right-hand of crime lord Carmine Falcone (John Turturro). With his boss out of the picture, Oz is looking to become Gotham's new kingpin. The Penguin's club, the Iceberg Lounge, was also featured as a recurring setting in "The Batman," albeit reimagined from a high-class crib into an underground rave spot.

Zachary Levi isn’t giving up on the movie followup to his NBC series Chuck, and he says creators Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak are on board.
Levi starred in the spy dramedy from 2007 to 2012 as Chuck Bartowski, an average guy who was dragged into the world of the the CIA and Nsa to take on dangerous criminals and other threats. He’s been campaigning for an expansion of the Chuck universe since the show ended, but he recently said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show that it might actually be coming to fruition.

Wolf Pack, the new werewolf series from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, is a new take on the mythos of shape-shifting monsters. Rather than telling the same story we have heard countless times before, Davis adapts the novels of Edo van Belkom for a unique story following four young people who contend with abilities they are not prepared for. The series also serves as the long-awaited return to genre television of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Fox comedy. This has caused some confusion, especially since Teen Wolf: The Movie is going to be reaching Paramount+ on January 26th as well, making some fans think the two properties might be connected. Davis has said that is not the case. His werewolf shows are separate from each other.
