- Quotes
Ozzie Nelson: That sounds kind of serious to me.
Harriet Nelson: Oh, I don't think so. After all, he went over there for dinner last night, and evidentally had a pretty good meal, but he came home and made himself a double-decker sandwich. Nobody in love has an appetite like that.
Ozzie Nelson: That's true. They say the best indication of a man's being in love is loss of appetite. Oh, by the way, is lunch almost ready? I'm starved.

Both Parents Jump To Conclusions
"Jumping to conclusions" is the subject matter in this opening episode of the fourth years of "The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet." Both parents - Ozzie & Harriet - are convinced (and worried) that older son David is going to ask his girlfriend Susan to marry him. They have nothing against the girl but, nonetheless, seem to be upset over the matter, perhaps because are clueless over what is going on....if anything.
This is typical behavior for Ozzie, who often seems confused about things, but Harriet is with him on this one.
Later, Oz falls asleep waiting for Dave to come home, and has a funny dream sequence. That part was the highlight, I thought, of the episode.
This was the third episode in the "The Best Of The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet" DVD and it's almost a shock to see Ricky now 15 years old or so, having rid himself of his high voice and looking his age with his duck-tail stylish haircut of the mid '50s. He was on his way to teen idol super-stardom.
Veteran actor Will Wright plays a Justice of the Peace in this episode. Diane Jergens plays David's girl. Everyone is so wholesome-looking, it's amazing. I'm not used to seeing that on TV, except in these 1950s shows which I watched when I was a kid.
