In his report to Orson, Mork says that $25,000 is equivalent to 100¥.
100¥ (Yen) has never been equivalent to $25,000 (Dollars). The Yen, like a lot of other foreign currencies, is the same as the penny (cent) is to the US Dollar. This is just another one of Robin Williams' ongoing jabs at the skyrocketing US inflation of the late 70s. For example, the week that this episode aired the exchange rate of the Yen to the US Dollar was 230 Yen to 1 US Dollar (or 230 Yen to 100 pennies [cents]).
