"America's Funniest Home Videos Presents the Greatest Videos of All Time, Vol. 1," opens the tape vaults to put together a compilation of the greatest videos to ever appear on the show. Staged in a mock awards show format -- minus the bad production numbers and long acceptance speeches - the special finds host Tom Bergeron introducing the funniest home videos submitted by viewers over the past 11 seasons and presenting the coveted-yet-fictitious Homey Award to those classic videos that continue to tickle the funny bone of America.

Host Tom Bergeron moderates an all-star celebrity panel as they pick the finalists of the best videos submitted to the show during 12 seasons. Actor/comedienne Kathy Griffin, actor/comedian Martin Mull, rap/hip hop artist Coolio and 1998 Olympic Gold Medalist skier Picabo Street comprise the celebrity panel. The producers have chosen the best home videos that have aired on the show over 12 years, and the panelists view and debate the videos and choose the clips they feel are the best of the best. At the end of the telecast, the audience votes on their favorite and the winner is awarded a trip to Maui and a $25,000 cash prize.

It's an "All Animal Extravaganza," as a special edition of "America's Funniest Home Videos" goes to the dogs, the cats and just about every critter in-between for a collection of hilarious videos, including talking cats, a package that explains why "dogs are better than cats" and a montage of birds on the swoop.
