Mrs. Ryker tells Captain Young that she stole a Red Cross uniform from an Army supply depot. Aside from the impossibility of an unauthorized civilian sneaking into a combat zone in Korea, it would also be impossible for Mrs. Ryker to get onto a closely guarded U.S. Army base and into a supply depot.

It is difficult to believe that a trial of this weight would be conducted during and in an actual war zone especially when vital evidence was placed out of reach during a retreat. It would seem more likely that such a trial would be conducted at a better time and place. And then the audience is to believe that a man would be put to death under these conditions.

On multiple occasions through the movie witnesses, after completing their testimony, are told, "You are dismissed subject to recall" or a similar statement. This totally unnecessary as there is no restriction as to the timing, order, or number of times a witness can be called to testify. Calling a witness to the stand is based solely on need. Having testified once does not preclude the witness from appearing again.
Although Colonel Merriam is an Army officer, his ribbons include the Navy Presidential Unit Citation. While it would not be impossible for him to receive this award, it would be extremely unlikely. In addition, he wears a Second Army patch on his left shoulder. That unit was never stationed overseas.
