From 2000 to 2005 he lived in Russia, where he played (in Russian) a leading character in a prime-time television series, Dorogaya Masha Berezina [Dear Masha Berezina], produced by Sony Pictures. He is well-known to the public thanks to his leading roles in several Catalan Public Television (TV3) series, for example as Richard in El cor de la ciutat, and Mauri (as young) in La Riera, and by his appearances in numerous Catalan and Spanish TV series, including Acusados, Amar en tiempos revueltos, Crims, Cuéntame cómo pasó, Estació d'enllaç, Hospital Central, Inocentes, Policías, Rhesus o Toledo. He has also appeared in 16 films under renowned directors such as Carlos Saura, Daniel Calparsoro, Carles Torrens and Joan Carles Medina. As theater director, he has staged ten plays in Russia, France, Catalonia and Madrid, including Una comèdia DALÍrant, L'arquitecte i l'emperador d'Assíria,Glinka and Carta d'amor. As film director, he made his debut with Ushima-Next, which premiered at the Sitges International Film Fstival in 2011. His career began in 1988, when he joined Cúcuta Deportivo, where he played until 1990. Then he joined Atlético Nacional and a year later he was hired by América de Cali. In 1992, he was signed by the Italian Parma FC where his performance led him to be proposed for the Golden Ball. In 1996, he joined Newcastle United where he had a great season, but due to an injury in his right knee he had to leave the game for several months.
