Anton Yelchin was an American actor, known for playing Bobby in Hearts in Atlantis (2001), Chekov in the Star Trek (2009) reboot, Charlie Brewster in the Fright Night (2011) remake, and Jacob in Like Crazy (2011).

He also served as the prime minister of Russia from 1999 to 2000, and again from 2008 to 2012.
Putin worked as a KGB foreign intelligence officer for 16 years, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel (podpolkovnik), before resigning in 1991 to begin a political career in Saint Petersburg. He moved to Moscow in 1996 to join the administration of president Boris Yeltsin. He briefly served as director of the Federal Security Service (FSB) and secretary of the Security Council, before being appointed as prime minister in August 1999. After the resignation of Yeltsin, Putin became acting president and, less than four months later, was elected outright to his first term as president. He was reelected in 2004. As he was constitutionally limited to two consecutive terms as president at the time, Putin served as prime minister again from 2008 to 2012 under Dmitry Medvedev. He returned to the presidency in 2012 in an election marred by allegations of fraud and protests and was reelected in 2018. In April 2021, following a referendum, he signed into law constitutional amendments including one that would allow him to run for reelection twice more, potentially extending his presidency to 2036.
During his first tenure as president, the Russian economy grew on average by seven percent per year, following economic reforms and a fivefold increase in the price of oil and gas. He also led Russia during a war against Chechen separatists, reestablishing federal control of the region. As prime minister under Medvedev, he oversaw military reform and police reform, as well as Russia's victory in its war against Georgia. During his third term as president, Russia annexed Crimea and sponsored a war in eastern Ukraine with several military incursions made, resulting in international sanctions and a financial crisis in Russia. He also ordered a military intervention in Syria against rebel and jihadist groups.[16] During his fourth term as president, he presided over a military buildup on the border of Ukraine. Putin accused the Ukrainian government of committing atrocities against its Russian-speaking minority, and in February 2022, he ordered a full-scale invasion of the country, resulting in numerous atrocities and leading to widespread international condemnation, as well as expanded sanctions and calls for Putin to be pursued with war crime charges.
Under Putin's leadership, Russia has experienced democratic backsliding and a shift to authoritarianism. Putin's rule has been characterised by endemic corruption, the jailing and repression of political opponents, the intimidation and suppression of independent media in Russia, and a lack of free and fair elections. Putin's Russia has scored poorly on Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index, the Economist Intelligence Unit's Democracy Index, and Freedom House's Freedom in the World index. Putin is the second-longest currently serving European president after Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus. - Actress

The talents of versatile Russian writer/director Kirill Sokolov were brought to the attention of Western audiences via the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia in 2018. A riotous, action-filled black comedy, Sokolov's debut film, "Why don't you just die!," draws upon the cinematic styles of his favorite directors, Sergio Leone, Martin McDonagh, Park Chan-wook, Martin Scorsese, and, of course, Quentin Tarantino. Although his first full-length feature film is distinctly Russian, uniquely characterized as a Western-style action film playing out within the confines of a Moscow apartment, Sokolov endeavors to tell a universal story that international audiences will still be able to relate to.
Sokolov was born in 1989 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2012, he received a master's degree in the Physics and Technology of Nanostructures. However, even as he worked to complete his degree in Physics, he began making short films with his friends, initially using just ketchup as blood. Inspired by films such as "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly," "Evil Dead 2," "Oldboy," and "Kill Bill" Volumes 1 and 2, Sokolov discovered that he had both a love and a talent for dark comedy, a genre which has yet to gain popularity in Russia. In 2013, when Sokolov's filmmaking hobby started to consume all of his time, he enrolled in a program for Advanced Courses for Film Directors and Scriptwriters (VKSR) at the workshop of V. Khotinenko, P. Finn, and V. Fenchenko. In 2015 he successfully defended his diploma with the short film "The Flame." In addition to his debut film, "Why don't you just die?" Sokolov has edited several Russian full-length feature films, written several full-length screenplays, and directed music videos and commercials.- Actor

She is an actress and director, known for Ekaterina (2014), Intimate Parts (2013) and The Student (2016).- Anton Vasilyev was born in Leningrad, Soviet Union. His parents were not related to the creative environment (his father worked as an engineer, and his mother taught at school), but the boy showed artistic inclinations from childhood. While studying at school, he studied at the Theater of Youth Creativity. The actor himself said that he got into the theater studio due to the fact that in the fifth grade he was in love with a girl who studied there. This prompted him to enroll in the studio after her, despite the fact that parents did not really share his views. He applied to the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts (now the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts), where Veniamin Filshtinskiy became his mentor. Anton admits that the decisive factor in favor of the theater academy was the conditions of the entrance exams, in which applicants were only required to read an excerpt from a literary work. According to Vasilyev, he was enrolled in the academy because at the exam he made it clear that he was ready for anything, and gave the masters freedom and the opportunity to "sculpt" anything out of him. In 2006 he became a certified artist.
Anton Vasilyev made his film debut in 2002, playing the Horse's accomplice in the detective series Streets of Broken Lights (1998). Two years later, the audience saw the actor again - in the continuation of the project, but in a different role. While studying at the theater academy, Anton periodically appeared in episodes of various projects, and he was first invited to the main role in 2006 - he starred in the short film "Gimp".
In 2016, the premiere of the Nevskiy (2016) detective series took place on the NTV channel, in which Anton played the main role - police captain Pavel Semyonov. 2018 was an extremely fruitful year in Vasilyev's career. He played in Boris Khlebnikov's series An Ordinary Woman (2018) with Anna Mikhalkova in the title role, and also starred in the continuation of the story of police captain Pavel Semyonov from Nevskiy (2016). 2020 was no less fruitful for Vasilyev. With his participation, the detective series Volk (2020) was released, based on the novel by Aleksandr Terekhov. In January 2022, the fifth season of the Nevskiy (2016) series started, which during the entire broadcast period managed to become the highest-rated project of the NTV channel, and the new season turned out to be one of the expected films. - Actress

Was born in St Petersburg, Russia. 21 years old but already an experienced actress. Played in 10 films or telefilms in Russia and more recently in France. First film "Freeze, Die, Come to life" was awarded Gold Camera at Le Festival de Cannes. Lives now half in St Petersbourg, half in Paris. Dramatically charming girl.- Anya was born on January 3, 1989, in St. Petersburg, Russia. At age four, she was adopted by a Hawaiian family, and then raised in Oahu. Modelling started early for Anya who, at age seventeen, did (non-haute couture) shows by Chanel, Fendi, Jeanie Chun, and Louis Vitton, to name a few. She auditioned for (and successfully attained) a finalist spot on Cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model (2003).
Throughout the competition, Anya was never in the bottom 2. She received the first call-out (meaning, she was the first contestant that Tyra Banks handed a photo to during eliminations) five times, and she won three challenges: a posing contest (the reward was a nude shoot by photographer/judge Nigel Barker, which received much praise at the panel), working a "green" carpet and mingling well at a party (the rewards were a photo-shoot for a 7-Up advertisement, and $10,000), and runway walking (the reward was a "red carpet" dress by Gay Mattiolo). With all of these accomplishments, plus a sweet disposition, Anya made it all the way to the final 2, with Whitney Thompson. Anya eventually lost to Whitney, because the panel deemed Anya's walk somewhat "boring" (although Paulina Porizkova loved it, and thought Whitney's walk was "hamming it up").
Recently, Anya changed her last name from Kop to Rozova, to better reflect her Russian heritage. However, she still kept her Hawaiian middle name. - Mariella Ahrens was born on 2 April 1969 in Leningrad, RSFSR, USSR [now St. Petersburg, Russia].
