Groovy! For this month’s installment of “TV Terrors” we revisit “Ash vs. Evil Dead“, the three-season television series that aired on the Starz Network from 2015 through 2018.
One of the most sobering moments of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” came in the original introduction by franchise star Bruce Campbell, who explained that the series was made because fans wouldn’t shut up. Indeed, fans had been asking for years for another adventure with Ashley Williams after Army of Darkness, and the team finally obliged in 2015. The climate was right for the return of the Evil Dead at the time as studios and television networks were investing in horror series. Developed by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and Tom Spezialy, Starz’s “Ash vs. Evil Dead” wasn’t just a dry run for fans. The series was a return to form for the Evil Dead series, one that never betrayed its source material...

What would you do if you were trying to stop your daughter from moving across the world and marrying someone she just met? Team up with your ex-spouse to ruin the wedding, of course!
Rom-com veterans Julia Roberts and George Clooney reunite in “Ticket to Paradise,” as the family of our dreams, complete with “Rosaline’s” Kaitlyn Dever. Though Clooney’s character calls their marriage “the worst 19 years of his life,” when the pair first see each other on the plane to the Bali wedding — to which Roberts retorts “we were only married for five” — the collective scheming to change their daughter’s mind might end up changing their hearts.
Here’s how to watch “Ticket to Paradise” when it comes out Friday, Oct. 21.
Is “Ticket to Paradise” in theaters or streaming?

Exclusive: Eliza Taylor, who starred as the lead on the CW series The 100 for seven seasons, has signed with Verve for representation and lined up her next project.
Taylor got her start on the star-making Australian series Neighbours and will return to her native country for her next project It Only Takes A Night. In addition to playing the lead in the feature, Taylor will also serve as executive producer for the first time on the project.
The film follows four best friends on a girl’s night out, who end up on a path none of them expected and find out it really does only take one night to change your life.
While the film will be set in London, it will actually be shot in Perth, Australia, taking advantage of the countries lack of Covid-19 closures as well as placing Australian talent in front of and behind the camera.

Perth’s cobblestone streets and heritage buildings will form the London setting for Callan Durlik’s directorial debut It Only Takes A Night.
Set to begin shooting in early May, the romantic comedy follows four best friends on a girl’s night out who end up learning to own their worth, redefine their destinies, and support each other despite their differences.
Eliza Taylor leads a cast that includes George Pullar, Sana’a Shaik, Arielle Carver-o’Neill, Charles Grounds, and Jaime Ureta, with Western Australian Academy of Performing Art’s (Waapa) Ana Ika making her feature debut.
Having penned the script, Durlik will also produce the privately-financed film with Josh Horneman of Rookies Ambush (The Naked Wanderer), Megan Wynn of Wynn Media (The Invisible Man), and Kara Pisconeri of Star Shadow Media.
Taylor, who is also onboard as an executive producer, said the project appealed to her on multiple levels.

The arrival of Hollywood superstars and government money for tentpole movies have grabbed headlines in Australia. But independent film productions are also moving ahead in post-covid Australia.
Production will start next month in Perth, Western Australia on “It Only Takes A Night,” a film that is both a romantic comedy and a female empowerment movie. A first feature for writer-director Callan Durlik, the film follows four best friends on a girl’s night out, and end up on a path none expected.
Eliza Taylor (“The 100”) takes the starring role at the top of an ensemble cast that also includes George Pullar, Sana’a Shaik (“2067,” Netflix’s upcoming “Dive Club”), Arielle Carver-o’Neill (“Ash vs Evil Dead”), Charles Grounds and Jaime Ureta and local actor Ana Ika making her feature debut. The long-awaited fourth entry in the Evil Dead franchise (discounting the remake) is coming to us as Evil Dead Rise. Lee Cronin is behind the camera for this one, though it won’t arrive for a while considering that shooting is only expected to begin in 2021. And although Bruce Campbell has more or less ruled himself out of making an appearance, he’s recently been sharing details on the project, including the decision to go with a lead heroine.
From what we already know, Evil Dead Rise will take place in a skyscraper, representing a shift from the cabin in the woods-style action we’ve come to expect from the series. Cronin has suggested that the film won’t hold back on the horror, either, and Campbell has now elaborated on there being a female lead.
“Look, this is another Evil Dead movie and that book gets around, a lot...

Over the past week, Ash vs Evil Dead was canceled by Starz and Bruce Campbell announced his retirement from portraying evil-fighting extraordinaire Ash Williams, but there's one last episode of Ash vs Evil Dead to enjoy, and by the looks of the trailer, the final episode is going to be a blood-spattered sendoff for one of the horror genre's most iconic characters.
Written and directed by Rick Jacobson, the series finale of Ash vs Evil Dead, titled "The Mettle of Man", airs on Sunday, April 29th on Starz. Following the penultimate episode of the series (fittingly titled "Judgement Day"), the series finale will pit Ash against the biggest Deadite threat yet, and it looks like he'll have to risk it all to save the ones he loves, including his long-lost daughter, Brandy (Arielle Carver-o'Neill).
In case you missed it, read Campbell's heartfelt farewell letter to Ash fans here, catch up...

The fun is about to end with El Jefe.
That's right, Starz announced today they will not be moving forward with a fourth season of one of the goriest and funniest series on television featuring Bruce Campbell as Ash "Ashy Slashy" Williams, a continuation to the successful Evil Dead movie franchise.
Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 will conclude with the finale on April 29.
From the moment Ash vs Evil Dead Season 1 began, Cambell and his costars Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, and Dana DeLorenzo have been kicking Evil's ass (and each other's) while they've been covered in gallons of goo and no doubt had the times of their lives.

Ash vs Evil Dead returns tonight with the first of ten new episodes and the biggest change to the series is the introduction of Ash's daughter, played by Arielle Carver-o'Neill. Ahead of the Season 3 premiere, I caught up with Arielle to learn more about her joining the cast, the series converting her into a horror fan, and getting blood-drenched during her first days on set:
What was your first introduction to the “Evil Dead” franchise? Did you watch any of the movies when you were younger or did you get up to speed when you joined the series?
Arielle Carver-o'Neill: I started watching them when I got the audition for the role. I had an unfortunate experience when I was young watching a scary movie and I got scared from what was supposed to be a hilarious and ridiculous film. I got nightmares for about a week from then on,...

While Ash was a Deadite-killing expert by the start of the Ash vs Evil Dead TV series, Kelly is in a very different place from when the series first began, and is now a blood-soaked veteran Deadite slayer in her own right. Continuing our interview series leading up to this Sunday's season 3 premiere on Starz, Dana DeLorenzo and I talked about her joining the Evil Dead family in the first season, playing off of Ash's antiquated views, and going big in the new season:
When the series was first announced, fans really didn’t know what to expect from Ash vs Evil Dead and its new characters. You and Ray [Santiago] have been such great additions to the Evil Dead family, and I watch the show for Pablo and Kelly as much as I do Ash.
Dana DeLorenzo: That's very generous of you to say, and thank you. I was truly terrified.

Come the 26th of February (or the 25th if you're lucky enough to live in the Us) the third season of Ash Vs Evil Dead will be upon us, which promises to send Mr Williams and chums into a whole new realm of insanity – parenthood. Yes indeed, Ash, quite possibly the worst role model of all time, is about to discover he's a daddy. Thankfully his daughter, Brandy (played by Arielle Carver-o'Neill) is already a teenager, so already on a better path than she no doubt would have been had she grown up with a father who, until recently, her home town had branded a murderer.

While we don't know the exact premiere date for the return of Ash vs Evil Dead, the third season of the Starz series is already starting to shape up, as a new cast member has been revealed.
Deadline reports that Arielle Carver-o’Neill has joined the cast of Ash vs Evil Dead as a series regular to play "...Brandy, a smart middle-class American high school senior whose life is up-ended when she finds herself caught up in violent demonic events."
O'Neill, who previously appeared in House Husbands, Suburbs, and the Spierig Brothers' Predestination, joins a core season 3 cast that is expected to include Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and Lucy Lawless. While no seasons beyond the third one have been announced, Campbell told us in our interview last year that he'd like to do five seasons of Ash vs Evil Dead:
"I'll take five [seasons]. No one's gonna burn out at five.
