Lena Headey made the first season of Beacon 23 quite bearable, and her absence was felt throughout season 2. It seemed like season 2 was repeating the same things over and over again, up to the point that it became irritating. I mean, there wasn’t a single thing in the entirety of the second season that was worth our time. Milan’s AI, Aleph, was repeating the same dialogue like a broken record. Harmony, on the other hand, had been the struggling AI since the beginning, with a messy character transformation in the end that doesn’t make any sense. And Halan Kai Nelson is still down with his Ptsd, the symptoms of which started to appear more in the viewers than the character itself. I am glad Beacon 23 season 2 ended, and I will surely elaborate on its finale in the best possible manner I can.

10. Jack Shephard from Lost
Sometimes, in an attempt to give a character some personality flaws, writers outdo themselves and turn an initially likable character into an obnoxious one. Lost’s Jack Shephard is a prime example: while he’s supposed to be a hero, what he really is is a frustratingly entitled manchild who just can’t quit whining for the life of him.
9. Rita Bennett from Dexter
For many people, overly dramatic characters have always been a bane of any show they were in, and we totally get it. Dexter is great, but Rita Bennett’s whiny drama queen attitude was a real killjoy for many fans, and some even claim they were glad when Rita was “finally” killed off and they could keep enjoying the show without her.

The CW used to be the ideal network for soapy teen dramas, sci-fi vampires and werewolf series, and DC superhero shows.
Now, it's a disappointing shell of those days.
The Vampire Diaries premiered back in 2009 and led to two additional spinoffs, while DC's Arrow began in 2012 and also began a massive franchise.
The CW used to include soapy dramas or sci-fi series, such as Supernatural, which launched Jared Padalecki's career.
The CW has only four original series left, and Superman & Lois will air its final season in the fall.
All American and All American: Homecoming are all on the bubble, while Walker was canceled. It seems like The CW has changed its' identity, and it's not favorable.
We long to return to those glory days when The CW ruled TV fandoms.

Documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, whose first feature film was the Oscar-nominated Super Size Me that shifted public perceptions of junk food, especially the McDonald’s chain, died Thursday in upstate New York from complications of cancer. He was 53.
“It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan,” his brother Craig Spurlock said in a family statement. “Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas and generosity. Today the world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him.”

Based on a true story from North Dakota, on the last known lynching in the state, End of the Rope by Charlie Griak is a cruel showcase of pent-up anger in a large number of people. Adapted from Dennis Edward Johnson’s novel of the same title, Griak does a wonderful job at portraying McKenzie County and what unfolded there in 1931. Barring the extended length of the film, this historical drama is a captivating insight into the events that took place.

The Top 8 were revealed in a live two-hour broadcast of “American Idol” Sunday night. Host Ryan Seacrest called the Top 10 to the stage to perform on “Birth Year Night,” mentored by Shania Twain. In a poll conducted just after the episode, we asked, “Which contestant gave the best performance of the night?” Fifteen-year-old Triston Harper came out on top with his rendition of “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean. Jeremy Renner is back in business as Mike McLusky, returning as the "mayor" of the prison town known as Kingstown.
After his terrible accident, there were fears that he'd ever fill Mike's shoes again. Those fears were unfounded.
The explosive trailer for the upcoming third season proves he's nimble on his feet but even more potent with his words.
Mayor of Kingstown is a high-adrenaline series about a small town in the business of America’s prison system.
Kingstown is pushed to its limits again and again as rampant crime inside prison walls, and outside has a stranglehold on its population.
Things reached a boiling point in the first season, as a horrifying riot put many at risk.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 saw tensions rise even further as everyone weathered the impact of the riot and how to survive in its aftermath.

Taylor Sheridan has proven to be a more than capable writer when it comes to writing women in fiction, with Sicario and Wind River, starring Jeremy Renner, being two major examples. However, Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown was been heavily dominated by men, but that isn’t to say there weren’t times when female characters were given their moments to shine.
When Hugh Dillon, co-creator of the show, was asked whether we could see more female representation moving forward last year, Dillon’s answer was quite promising.

In the world of DC, The Justice League acts as a united front against all threats. At the center of this team are two titans of the superhero industry: Superman and Batman. These heavyweights are undeniable draws and their names alone are enough to send a thrill through comic fans.

However, the recent animated film “Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths” witnessed a shift in dynamics. While there is a huge roster of superheroes in the movie, the one who grounds the narrative isn’t the brooding billionaire or the bulletproof alien.

Alberto Corredor's Baghead is the most recent example of "well, that would have been better as a short film." Mainly because, well, it is better as a short film. Corredor adapts the truncated version of Baghead written by Lorcan Reilly into the scattershot feature now on Shudder. New screenwriters Christina Pamies and Bryce McGuire struggle to extend the fifteen-minute original into an engaging hour and a half, especially during its bloated second act. Corredor crisply accentuates the mildewy and eerie atmosphere that saturates an outdated basement architecture, but by the end, falls victim to the usual follies that come with shorts-turned-features unable to sustain their big-screen treatments.

The Dcau has very rarely disappointed fans. With the perfect balance of fan service, good storytelling, and experimentation, the vastness of DC’s animated universe is truly amazing. Having been going strong, long before live-action adaptations of these works began, these projects have acted as the only source of light in these dark times in the superhero world.

The most recent addition to this universe was Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths—Part One, which is the first in a three-part adaptation of the legendary comic book storyline. When a plot as iconic as Crisis on Infinite Earths is being adapted into any medium, fans are bound to get nervous. However, the animated movie has met all of its expectations and then some.

Molly on General Hospital has been recast thrice since Haley Pullos departed from the daytime drama in May 2023. The American actress began playing the character in July 2009 when she replaced Iris and Ivy Kaim. Forced out of the role after a car accident that left her embroiled in two counts of felony DUI, Holiday Mia Kriegel assumed the role. Kriegel played Molly from May 25 to June 14, 2023. The role was again recast in July 2023 with Brooke Anne Smith embodying the character. The General Hospital fandom demurred Smith’s portrayal of the iconic character because of her

While watching Baghead, the movie reminded me a lot of the film Talk to Me. The name Baghead literally gives away what the movie is about—it’s about someone who wears a bag on their head. This someone lives in the basement of a rundown pub, a place with historical significance. This pub used to belong to Iris’ father, who tried to burn it down. Surprisingly, he ended up burned dead, but the Baghead is still very much alive and residing in the basement. Now, the pub belongs to Iris. But who is this Baghead? Why does it stay in the basement? And will Iris make it out alive or end up like her father? Let’s find out together.

Baghead is the latest offering of rules-based horror. As in, the characters follow specific rules and maybe they can survive their uncanny predicament. Alberto Corredor’s first long feature, an adaptation of his own short film of the same name, wastes no time establishing the system in which his characters must struggle. Admittedly, the high concept here is convoluted and also not executed to its fullest, but the film still manages to brew up some creepy moments as well as deliver an intriguing, not to mention fearsome antagonist.
Freya Allan (The Witcher) plays Iris, the struggling protagonist of Baghead. After losing her apartment, Iris inherits her estranged father’s (Peter Mullan) pub following his sudden passing. Soon enough, the young heir is offered a fat wad of cash by Jeremy Irvine’s desperate and frazzled character, Neil, in exchange for access to the pub’s basement and the “woman” living down there.

Plot: A young woman inherits a run-down pub and discovers a dark secret within its basement – Baghead – a shape-shifting creature that will let you speak to lost loved ones, but not without consequence.
Review: I always get excited whenever Shudder is releasing a new film to their streaming service that I know next to nothing about. Add in a recognizable actor and I’m ready for whatever comes my way. So Baghead had me interested with its vague title and inclusion of Freya Allan (who I love in The Witcher). The trailer made it look like a creepy look at the living’s relationship with death. And the original short film was creepy as hell! So I then proceeded to go on a journey of intrigue that was completely ruined by terrible storytelling and bad CGI.
