Carol Vorderman will attempt a solo flight world record attempt in 2014.
On Wednesday (August 21), the Loose Women star will appear on ITV's This Morning to discuss her goal of becoming the person with the fastest progression from first solo flight to global solo flight.
She will be the first trainee pilot to undertake her first solo flight on live television later in the programme, from Gloucestershire Airport.
Vorderman will fly up to 1,000ft while turning in a rectangle around the airfield before landing. It will be the first time she has been in the aircraft on her own.
She then hopes to complete a global solo flight in 18 month' time, breaking the world record.
She said of her challenge: "I'm very excited about my first solo flight. It was meant to happen a few weeks ago but the weather wasn't good enough and the conditions for a first solo are very strict for obvious reasons.
