The Broadway musical Wicked will be getting its cinematic adaptation this year. The musical has been divided into two parts, with Part One set to be released on November 27, 2024. It stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the lead roles, playing Galinda Upland and Elphaba Thropp respectively. The story acts as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.
Director Jon M. Chu mentioned that the actresses got along really well on set. He said that he chose to not depend on excessive CGI and wanted actual sets. Chu also said that the two were extremely committed to their roles, with the actresses going as far as delivering live vocals while filming instead of the usual practice of lip-syncing to pre-recorded songs.

Super Bowl Sunday always has a little something for everyone, but this year's big game in Las Vegas went above and beyond in the razzle-dazzle department.
We were, of course, prepared for a celebrity-crammed spectacle due to the luxury booth presence of Travis Kelce's substantially famous girlfriend, but this gridiron rematch between last year's combatants, the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, brought out more than just arguably the most famous pop star on the planet. The only pop star in that aforementioned argument, Beyoncé, was there with her hip-hop god husband Jay-Z! The world's greatest basketball player, LeBron James, flew in from Los Angeles for the contest! And Paul freakin' Rudd, sporting a bushy freakin' mustache that would've driven Avery Schreiber into a jealous rage, prowled the sidelines pre-game in support of his hometown Chiefs!
But if we're talking true, earth-shaking, knock-you-on-your-keister fame, let there be...

The first trailer for the Wicked movie has arrived!
Universal Pictures aired the first trailer for Wicked: Part One during the 2024 Super Bowl and you can watch the full clip right here.
Ariana Grande is starring as Glinda and Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo is taking on the role of Elphaba, the characters originated by Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel on Broadway over 20 years ago.
The first trailer didn’t feature any of the songs from the musical and only featured Elphaba’s battle cry from the end of “Defying Gravity” and other brief snippets of the song. We did get glimpses of Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum at the Wizard.
One highlight of the trailer was a glimpse of Dorothy, who is never actually seen in the Broadway show.

Fanatic Feed: Razzie Nominations Revealed, Constellation, Ripley, Apples Never Fall All Get Trailers
It's a big day for highly anticipated new streaming series, two of which just released their first trailers.
First, we have Constellation, the AppleTV sci-fi thriller starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.
Rapace plays an astronaut who returns to Earth after a stint on a space station and finds that her life has changed in a number of small, subtle ways.
In his best world-weary "go home, Walter" voice, Banks explains that astronauts have a tendency to become "unstuck" after spending too much time in space.
What does that mean, exactly?
Well, we guess we'll have to watch the spacy drama unfold to find out!
It's tough to discern much about the plot from the trailer, but it looks like the series will enter supernatural horror territory as it progresses.
There's some weirdness involving Rapace's daughter, and the trailer delivers some genuinely spine-tingling creepy kid moments.

Kristin Chenoweth, the Emmy- and Tony-winning Broadway favorite, will lead a one-night-only benefit concert this April to honor the late Roundabout Theatre Company leader Todd Haimes.
Reuniting with her On the Twentieth Century choreographer Warren Carlyle, Chenoweth will take the stage at Broadway’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre on April 15 in Kristin: An Evening With Friends For Todd. Carlyle will both direct and choreograph the event, and Chenoweth will be joined onstage by what the non-profit theater company is calling “a remarkable roster of Roundabout favorites for a once-in-a-lifetime concert” celebrating Haimes.
The concert, benefiting Roundabout’s various programs and initiatives including Education at Roundabout, will come just shy of one year since Haimes’ death on April 19, 2023. The longtime president and CEO of Roundabout died at 66 of osteosarcoma, an aggressive cancer.

Lady Gaga‘s habit of performing Wicked covers in college did not turn classmate and The Bachelor alum Carly Waddell into a fan. However, Kristin Chenoweth is certainly eating up the revelation!
