My Adventures with Superman is one of the most brilliant superhero animated series. Created by Brendan Clougher, Jake Wyatt, and Josie Campbell, the Adult Swim series tells the story of Superman aka Clark Kent as he starts his new job at The Daily Planet, with his roommate Jimmy Olson, and his senior intern at The Daily Planet who is none other than Lois Lane. They quickly become a team and try to bring in big stories so that they can become real reporters while Clark also tries to become the hero he is meant to be. My Adventures with Superman has great action but the brilliant thing about the series is that it isn’t an action series about Superman, it’s a series about a superhero and his relationships as he figures out who he really is. So, if you love the heart, optimism, great story, and fantastic animation...

Get ready to blast that iconic theme tune one last time because X-Men ‘97 season 1 is coming to an end. After nine episodes of spandex and Sentinels, we’re on the cusp of an epic finale that will hopefully set the stage for an equally epic second season.
Pulling off another faithful retelling of the comics, the cliffhanger ending of penultimate episode “Tolerance Is Extinction, Pt. 2” left fans reeling. As we brace for episode 10, here are the eight best X-Men ‘97 theories taking us through to the finale.
Onslaught Will Be The Final Villain
If we follow the comics, the events of 1993’s “Fatal Attractions” should lead to X-Men ‘97’s endgame villain. “Tolerance Is Extinction, Pt. 2” beautifully adapted the source material, even including the iconic moment of Magneto pulling out Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton.

X-Men ’97 voice actor felt pretty sure that Thanos, the supervillain in the MCU, wouldn’t have stood a chance against X-Men’s Magneto. The powerful mutant has the ability to generate and control magnetic fields. Matthew Waterson, who voices the character in the Disney+ show, believes that Magneto could have easily taken control of Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet and ended things relatively quickly.

In the original series, X-Men: The Animated Series, the character was voiced by David Hemblen, who passed away in 2020. Waterson replaced the actor in the new series, where Magneto takes over as the interim leader of X-Men as per Charles Xavier’s will.

X-Men '97 Cameo Gets Fans Hopeful for Another '90s Marvel Series Reboot - Main Image
The eighth episode of X-Men ‘97 brought the suspense for what will happen to our mutant heroes and left fans excited for what’s next in Marvel Animation.
[Spoiler Warning For Episode 8 Of X-men '97]
Towards the end of Tolerance is Extinction, Pt. 1, Magneto unleashes a massive electromagnetic wave all over the planet to stop the Prime Sentinels from attacking the mutants. Elsewhere on earth, various characters felt the wide-reaching impact of Magneto’s anger, including the Silver Samurai (Japan) and Omega Red (presumably in Russia).
Both characters are connected to the X-Men lore and have appeared in X-Men: The Animated Series, so their cameos may or may not hold any meaning for future seasons. However, one cameo surprisingly came swinging in, teasing fans about the possibility of another classic series reboot.

Seeing that Magneto had a very uneasy peace with humanity when he took over from Charles Xavier and that he declared war thanks to Bastion’s actions, the X-Men could be headed to a particularly brutal fight with the Master of Magnetism, one that could directly result in the emergence of a terrifying foe, who could be the antagonist for Season 2 of X-Men ’97.

Today's episode of X-Men '97 kicked off the three-part "Tolerance Is Extinction" finale, and boy, this series really hasn't wasted any time in establishing itself as the best adaptation of these characters to date, has it?
You can find our full episode recap here, but as Bastion unleashes his Prime Sentinels across the globe, we're treated to some massive cameos.
The villain is shown communicating with several villains, including Doctor Doom and Baron Zemo, two iconic comic book baddies with ties to the Fantastic Four and Avengers. While not necessarily in support of Bastion's action, it seems they wish to be on the "right" side of history and won't stop him from enslaving mutants with his human/robot hybrids.
Later, we see the global impact of what's happening and it's then Spider-Man swings into frame!

The animated series based on Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, produced and written by John Semper, aired on the Fox Kids Network from 1994 to 1998. The five-season animated series concluded with the introduction of the Spider-Verse storyline, which went on to inspire similar narratives in various Spider-Man comic books, cartoons, and movies.
Christopher Daniel Barnes voiced the character of Peter Parker, a.k.a., Spider-Man, in the series. The animated series is regarded as one of the greatest animated series made for Spider-Man. John Semper served as the head writer of the series, and in his interview, he explained the arc of Mary Jane Watson falling off the bridge and coming back later as a clone.

Jonah Hauer-King Just Found Love Onscreen in "The Little Mermaid" - He's Partnered Up Offscreen, Too
Jonah Hauer-King is our new crush. On May 26, the British actor made his highly anticipated debut as Prince Eric in Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid." Christopher Daniel Barnes originally played the iconic character in the 1989 animated film.
Initially, there were rumors that Harry Styles would play Prince Eric in the remake, but it was later revealed that he declined the offer. In an April 4 interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Rob Marshall explained the "As It Was" singer passed on the role due to him wanting to star in "darker" projects (which turned out to be "Don't Worry Darling" and "My Policeman"). In the end, though, Hauer-King won over Marshall for the role of Prince Eric due to his "sweetness" and "deep passion," as well as his natural chemistry with Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel.

The Little Mermaid’s Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King created a special bond while filming Rob Marshall’s live-action reimagining of Disney’s 1989 animated classic, and Hauer-King isn’t afraid to be a fanboy of his mega-talented co-star. The Atlanta and London natives play the roles of mermaid Princess Ariel and Prince Eric, respectively, which Jodi Benson and Christopher Daniel Barnes memorably brought to life 34 years ago in John Musker and Ron Clements’ animated film. Thus, Bailey and Hauer-King always approached the material with reverence and respect for the original film, even if their story took a couple of detours to familiar destinations.
Bailey — who is one half of the sisterly musical duo Chloe x Halle — had to play out an accomplished singer’s worst fear as Ariel, in that she had to imagine a reality where she’s lost her voice. However, she made a point to sing live...

The 1990s: the decade when teal squiggles and purple triangles reigned supreme. Or at least, that's what our collective memory has assigned to the period's romanticized style guide.
The '90s were formative for the medium of animation. On the silver screen, Disney animated musicals dominated the box office and awards seasons, while studios like Pixar and DreamWorks debuted their first feature films. On the small screen, the animation revolution continued in what we can now look back on as a unique convergence of passing generations. The Disney Afternoon programming block crested the wave of its success, oodles of beloved Nicktoons busted onto the scene, Cartoon Network launched, and some of today's longest-running animated series populated airwaves for the very first time.
Attempting to rank the best 90s cartoons is a nearly impossible task. Everyone has their favorites, whether we're talking about precious childhood shows or foundational barrier-breakers in adult animation.

Yes, it’s Hammer’s grimy rags ‘n’ rock prehistoric saga, the notorious third caveman vs. dinosaurs spectacle that has no dinosaurs, leaving the ‘creatures’ of the title as a no-show. Director Don Chaffey does his best with a screenplay that Michael Carreras must have sketched on the back of a cocktail napkin. If you like rugged terrain and dusty dirty cavemen exposed to the elements — or you’re a Hammer completist — you’ve come to the right place.

Disney’s live-action “The Little Mermaid” will hit theaters on May 26, 2023, Disney announced on Friday.
“The Little Mermaid” is the live-action take on Disney’s 1989 animated musical classic. In addition to Halle Bailey as Ariel, it also stars Javier Bardem as King Triton, Melissa McCarthy as the wicked Ursula, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric.
Bailey was cast to play Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” remake way back in 2019, but the film was one of many that was forced to shut down production before it could get going. It had since been filming throughout the pandemic in London.

A quick perusal of the internet proves audiences are awash in nostalgia for the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. With Tobey Maguire trending on all forms of social media—despite not appearing in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer—and the return of Alfred Molina as Doc Ock leading to that sizzle reel becoming the most viewed trailer in a 24-hour period ever, the Spidey hype is reel. And for good reason: To many audiences, Maguire is Spider-Man, and Molina is Ock. Yet that doesn’t mean those films were everyone’s first introduction to the wallcrawler.

It feels like a safe bet that if you spoke the name of Christopher Daniel Barnes and asked anyone on the street just who he was and what he’d done in his life you might not get an answer other than ‘I don’t know.’ He’s done a lot of voice work and his live action stuff has never been the kind of thing that you might talk about over and over. Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, starring singer Halle Bailey as Ariel, will be directed by Rob Marshall.
The Little Mermaid is coming back to theaters, this time in live-action form, as part of Disney’s deluge of live-action movie remakes of its iconic animated classics. Of course, the move is hardly the biggest surprise in the world, with the year 2019 alone yielding "A-list" releases of Dumbo, The Lion King, and Aladdin, and with Mulan set arrive in March 2020, and 101 Dalmatians prequel Cruella arriving in May 2021, giving its prolific corporate tentpole neighbors at Marvel a run for their money.
Halle Bailey will embrace life under the sea, and later on the surface, to star as Ariel. This is a major break for the singer/actress, who is part of the cast of Freeform’s Grown-ish and is one-half of the R&b act, Chloe X Halle.

The Little Mermaid rekindled Walt Disney’s animation excellence, launching the current wave of films and fascination with the princesses. It remains a stunning piece of work, with excellent songs and vocal performances, that continues to hold up well with repeated viewings. Jodi Benson’s innocent, yearning Ariel is well matched by the scheming Pat Carroll as Ursula, one of the more frightening antagonists in the animated oeuvre.
For me, though, the film’s magical place in history is enhanced because it was the first film we took Kate to see. Snuggled between us, on a booster seat to see the screen, she was enchanted, eyes wide and riveted. I enjoyed it from a craft and entertainment standpoint, but she fell in love because of the Disney magic.
The 1989 release is out as part of their 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Signature Collection line.

The Greatest Showman and Spider-Man: Homecoming actress, Zendaya has reportedly been offered the lead in Disney’s Live-Action remake of The Little Mermaid.
According to That Hashtag Show, the ex-Disney star is rumoured to have been offered the role of Ariel. However, reps for both Zendaya and Disney have refused to comment.
Mary Poppins Returns director Rob Marshall is set to take the helm on the remake, with Jane Goldman penning the script. Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda will be composing the music. It is thought the film will serve as both an adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale and the 1989 Disney animated classic.

ABC announced Tuesday that it was tossing its hat in the ring of live TV musical events with “The Wonderful World Of Disney: The Little Mermaid Live!” Other details are sparse, but the enhanced broadcast of the 1989 Disney animated classic has been slotted for an October 3rd airdate.
While it’s a bit surprising that it’s taken this long for the network to take a Disney property (especially one that’s already had a Broadway run) and bring it to TV, it won’t be a full-fledged musical along the lines of the “Grease Live” or “The Sound of Music Live” productions that have popped up on other channels.
There’s also no word on casting for this ABC version of “Little Mermaid” yet. But, given the live-singalong format that they’re looking to adopt, they might veer close to the talent at the front of last year’s Hollywood Bowl production,...

If you're a fan of Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, you'll be excited to learn that they are preparing for their “Return to the Spider-Verse” storyline. It's in this upcoming event that Spider-Gwen will make her TV debut! I've been wondering when this would happen, and it's great to know that that time has come. The news comes from IGN, who explains:
The current fourth season of the series, titled Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister Six, will conclude with the four-part storyline, which will find Spider-Man, joined by Miles Morales, once again encountering a ton of alternate reality Spideys. Spider-Gwen will debut in the final installment, voiced by Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie, Descendants). The super-powered, alternate reality version of Gwen Stacy has been a fan favorite since her debut in the comic book version of the Spider-Verse storyline, and currently stars in her own spinoff title.

Get ready to head back into the Spider-Verse this weekend when Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man kicks off its epic four-part "Return to the Spider-Verse" event! The new event will serve as a sequel of sorts for the original Spider-Verse event that took place last season. Details on the plot have yet-to-be revealed, but the storyline is said to follow Spider-Man & Miles Morales for the most part, which likely means it will center around Peter trying to find a way to get Miles back into his own dimension. On another note, IGN has obtained a ton of details on which Spiders are set to appear and I've broken it down for you below: Part 1 Ben Diskin, who voiced Eddie Brock/Venom in The Spectacular Spider-Man & Spidey himself in Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Reassembled, will debut as Blood Spider. Christopher Daniel Barnes, best known for his iconic portrayal of Spider-Man/Peter Parker...

The team behind the classic '90s Spider-Man: The Animated Series is swinging back into action.
Spider-Man head writer and producer John Semper Jr. has launched a crowdfunding campaign for War of the Rocketmen, an animated series that will reunite the entire cast. The cartoon harkens back to the serials of the 1940s and tells the story of a secret team of Rocketmen who fought to save the U.S. from rocket-propelled Nazis during World War II.
"It was an era when it was very clear who the good guys and bad guys were," Semper tells People of the World War II era.

As we get older, certain knowledge vacates our brains like cereal pouring out of a box. I can’t remember any formulas from geometry class and I’m not 100-percent certain of my own state bird, but, dammit, I know my Disney characters. We all do. But do we really? We know every word from “Part of Your World” and “Hakuna Matata,” but do we know the performers behind the doe-eyed animated stars? Now, you can say you do. We all know the big stars, like that Mandy Moore was Rapunzel in Tangled or that Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell star in Frozen, but that’s just the tip of the Disney iceberg. Let’s take a peek behind the cartoon curtain and check out the real performers who brought our favorite Disney characters to life.

Hard to imagine, but there was a time, before the release of "The Little Mermaid," when even Disney's own studio chief didn't expect much from the movie because it was a "girl's film." But Jeffrey Katzenberg was happy to be proved wrong when the film was released 25 years ago this week (on November 17, 1989).
"The Little Mermaid" was not only an enormous critical and commercial success, but it also launched a creative renaissance in Disney's animated features (including such modern classics as "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King") and a wave of princess-mania that continues to this day.
Still, as many times as you or your kids have watched "Little Mermaid" (probably many, many, many times), there's a lot you may not know about it, including who almost starred in it, who the characters were drawn to look like, and what was really up with that scene of the bishop with the bulging pants.

Fans of the 1990s’ Spider-Man: The Animated Series, rejoice - the stellar voice cast are teaming up for new show War Of The Rocketmen…

"Bones" pretty much does the same thing here, only with Brennan in Henry Fonda's role.
