Recently, The View fans became suspicious that co-host, Joy Behar, may have gotten herself into some trouble. Some fans believe the blunt conversationalist just might be on a suspension.
Joy Behar Has The View Fans Questioning
Although one of the big perks of working on The View is the way each of the co-hosts can assert their opinions, did Joy Behar take it too far? While viewers are familiar with the norms of the co-hosts’ schedule, something seems a little off for Joy. Notably, Whoopi Goldberg typically takes off on Fridays and Joy Behar is off on Mondays. However, fans were alerted when Joy’s seat was vacated two days in a row following an onscreen altercation.

Travis Kelce is giving his thoughts on Harrison Butker’s controversial graduation speech.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end addressed the criticism the Chiefs kicker has received for his speech in which he made remarks directed towards women, suggesting they should embrace being a “homemaker.” He also condemned abortion, euthanasia, IVF, surrogacy and the LGBTQ community.
On a new episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce first described Butker as a “great person” and “great teammate.” He added, “He’s treated friends and family that I’ve introduced to him with nothing but respect and kindness. And that’s how he treats everyone.”
However, Kelce reiterated that “when it comes down to his views and what he said at the Benedictine College commencement speech, those are his.”
“I can’t say I agree with the majority of it or just about any of it outside of just him loving his family and his kids.

Fans of The View know there is a sequence to when the ladies are off on the show, and when things change, they wonder what is up with their favorite talk show host.
It helps to know that Whoopi Goldberg is typically off on Fridays, and Joy Behar is off on Mondays, giving the ladies a much-needed long weekend each week.
When someone is out, the absence not only shakes things up on the set, but fans also worry about their favorite co-hosts, so when Whoopi Goldberg announced that Joy Behar was out a second time, fans knew something was up with Joy.
Joy Behar was in her seat earlier in the week but missed two shows after a heated segment with Bill Mahar, and fans are beginning to worry.

The Oscar-winning screenwriter says he has always been gay, but is only now going public. At 81, he reflects on LSD, gurus and falling out with Whoopi Goldberg
When Bruce Joel Rubin was writing Ghost, he didn’t think about the Oscars it might win or the money it would make (more than $500m). Instead, he drew on an intimate moment from his past. When Molly, played by Demi Moore, tells her boyfriend Sam (Patrick Swayze) that she loves him, all he can say in return is: “Ditto.” Back in his college days, Rubin was the ditto guy, unable to echo his then-girlfriend’s heartfelt sentiment. But for an unusual reason: he was gay.
“I’ve never not been gay,” says the genial 81-year-old from his home in a leafy part of upstate New York, where the trees are crowding at the window behind him. “I am fully gay, and I always knew it.

The “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” series at Paramount+ has cast Holly Hunter in a lead role, Variety has learned.
Hunter’s character will serve as the captain and chancellor of the Academy, presiding over both the faculty and a new class of Starfleet cadets as they learn to navigate the galaxy in the 32nd century.
“It feels like we’ve spent our entire lives watching Holly Hunter be a stone-cold genius,” said co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau. “To have her extraordinary authenticity, fearlessness, sense of humor, and across the board brilliance leading the charge on ‘Starfleet Academy’ is a gift to all of us, and to the enduring legacy of ‘Star Trek.'”

You know that feeling of watching someone ice skate for the first time? Or when a little kid finally tries riding their bicycle without training wheels? That's sort of the feeling I get watching Steven Spielberg's movie adaptation of "The Color Purple."
Make no mistake: Spielberg's 1985 film version of Alice Walker's 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name, which he directed from a script by his eventual "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" co-writer Menno Meyjes, is quite lovely to look at; it's a Spielberg picture so that much goes without saying. Whoopi Goldberg is similarly splendid as the grown-up Celie Harris-Johnson, a queer Black woman living in early 20th-century Georgia who endures horrific abuse at the hands of the men in her life yet finds kindness, support, and love from the Black women around her.
It's not that Spielberg had never tackled a "serious" adult movie before that,...

However, despite her serious acting aspirations, Turner felt limited by opportunities for Black women as well as the type of roles she was being offered.

Bill Maher admitted he was confused on the latest episode of Real Time about the controversy surrounding Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker‘s commencement speech at Benedictine College.
This week, the NFL player was criticized across social media over his graduation speech at the private Catholic school, which included comments condemning abortion, euthanasia, IVF, surrogacy and the LGBTQ community. He also made some remarks directed towards women in the crowd, suggesting they should embrace being a “homemaker.”

The View got off to a running start on Thursday’s new episode as Whoopi Goldberg opened the show’s “Hot Topics” segment with an impassioned defense of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, whose controversial commencement speech has led to calls for his termination from the Super Bowl-winning team. After playing a clip of the speech, in which Butker claimed that women have been told “diabolical lies” about gender roles and that “the majority” of the new graduates in the crowd were “most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.” That was just one part of the speech, which also criticized President Joe Biden, reproductive rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion (Dei) initiatives, and the LGBTQ+ community and encouraged men in the audience to “be unapologetic in your masculinity.” After Butker delivered that address to the Class of 2024 at Benedictine College, a Catholic university,...

The Today Show meteorologist Al Roker feels that there is just too much judgment out there. He has been faced with a lot of criticism in his career so he knows what it is like to be judged. So, what else does the sixty-nine-year-old father of three have to say? Keep reading for more details.
Al Roker Feels There Is Too Much Judgment
Being judged is a part of being famous and it is synonymous with the job. Sadly, fans can be way too harsh and forget that celebrities are just regular people with feelings. They make their own decisions based on what they think is best for them and do not need outside noise though it is inevitably going to happen. Al Roker is a fan favorite and beloved by many but for many years, he was overweight. That did not mean viewers loved him any less but they did fear for his health.

This especially rings through when you consider that a lot of celebrities have had to apologize, explain or even, in extreme cases, retract their statements because it was not received in good taste by the fans. For example, Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-hero’ music video was criticized for being fatphobic, so much so, she cut the scene exciting all the backlash.
In the same way, Whoopi Goldberg thinks woke culture has not only affected ‘The View,’ but warped it from what it used to be. Here’s what she has to say.

On Monday, Kelly Clarkson surprised audiences by revealing that she uses weight loss medication to aid her health journey in losing over 60 pounds.
The talk show host interviewed Egot-winner Whoopi Goldberg and began with, “Every time I run into you, you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s like crazy every time you walk in!”
Goldberg replied, “First of all, it’s all the weight I’ve lost. I’ve lost almost two people. I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it’s been really good for me.”
Clarkson soon disclosed her personal experience with weight loss and stated that she, too, had shed a significant amount of weight recently. She clarified, “Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my bloodwork got so bad.”

In a much-needed break from political topics, Whoopi Goldberg introduced a fun topic about “murder houses” on The View.
The constant heavy talk during an election year is tiring for viewers and hosts alike, so an offbeat theme that people can laugh at helps.
Whoopi Goldberg shared a story about a gentleman who bought a house for a steep discount where a murder took place and what happened when his wife found out.
Sara Haines had a suggestion that had the ladies on the show howling with laughter, and the fans couldn’t stay quiet about it either.
Usually, Joy Behar and Whoopi are the funny ladies on The View, constantly quipping jokes, but it seemed that Sara stole the show.
Joy Behar once had to be reminded that “murder is wrong” by a fellow co-host, but the “murder house” topic did not need that same disclaimer.

Kelly Clarkson looks and feels amazing. But with so much discussion around celebrities taking the diabetes drug Ozempic to aid in weight loss, it seems that any time someone makes a lifestyle change, people assume they’re taking the medication. In late April, Barbra Streisand made headlines when she commented on actor Melissa McCarthy’s Instagram photo asking if she lost weight with Ozempic — it’s become the norm to question it.
Pop icon Kelly Clarkson recently appeared on The View, where she made sure to let people know she is not one of the celebs on the weight loss drug.

Kelly Clarkson has been a hot topic of conversation after she shed several pounds after moving her talk show from the West Coast to the East Coast.
The former American Idol winner looked significantly different as she began to debut a more petite frame and upped the ante on her wardrobe.
There was speculation about how Kelly lost the weight, with many suspecting it was with the help of the popular weight loss drug Ozempic.
However, it wasn’t Ozempic that helped in her journey. It was something similar, but Kelly didn’t name the product she was using.
While speaking to Whoopi Goldberg during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the former The Voice coach confirmed she used something to help with the weight loss, something Whoopi could relate to.

Whoopi Goldberg was the latest guest on “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” on Max and was asked about what it’s been like co-hosting ABC’s “The View” for the last 17 years. The Egot winner joined the daytime franchise in 2007. Asked by Wallace if she still likes hosting the program, Goldberg acknowledged that it was a better gig back in the day when people did not automatically weaponize everything she said.
“I liked it better before because there was not … people didn’t didn’t assume that you were starting out to be nasty or horrible or saying stuff,” Goldberg said. “You used to say something and somebody would say, ‘Well, actually, that’s not so.’ And you could make that adjustment. Or you could say, ‘Well, here’s what … this is why I thought about it this way.’ You can’t do that anymore. Nobody wants to hear what you were thinking.

Things got a bit steamy on The View recently when Sunny Hostin shared excerpts of her newest book, Summer on Highland Beach, with the ladies.
The ladies had all been laughing and joking just before Sunny asked Joy Behar to read some of the “sexy parts” of her newest book.
This book, coming out May 28, is the third of Sunny’s Sag Harbor series, and Sunny has been busy promoting it since Christmas.
In this hot political season, it is good for the ladies to take a break and talk about other issues, even if they are a bit hot and steamy.
Whoopi Goldberg started the segment asking about sexy books and shared an article from the New York Post that said reading erotica is more effective than watching it.
She asked Joy what she thought; it was the perfect segue for Sunny to ask her to read from her newest book.
