Nevertheless, Nemo still doubts Iván's stories and believes that it was his cousin who took his socks. Over the course of the next few days, however, strange things occur -- things that make Iván's stories seem altogether true. But what Nemo doesn't yet realize is that within some families, there are things even worse than the Bogeyman. . .

Guzmán is reluctant at first, doubting the boy's ability to do an adequate job, but soon they are plugging away steadily on the work, making a pretty good team. Over the course of the next few days, bonds begin to form and each sees values in the other that they'd never considered before. The question is, can this trend continue?
