FRONTLINE World: Lebanon and Syria: "The Earthquake" (2005)
"The Earthquake" is a half-hour documentary about Lebanon and Syria during a period of political upheaval and change in 2005 known as the "Cedar Revolution." It was produced for the PBS series, FRONTLINE World, by Stephen Talbot and by Kate Seelye who was the correspondent then based in Beirut. The reports begins with the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri and the massive protests that forced Syrian troops to withdraw from Lebanon.
