Maria Rotger is a screenwriter, playwright, filmmaker, and actress.
Among her works as a screenwriter, we find the short films "Laura in between" and "The woman doesn't exist," selected and awarded in some of the most prestigious film festivals in Los Angeles, such as IndieX Film Fest or Independent Shorts Awards. She is currently creating a television series that integrates comedy, drama, and mystery formats.
She combines these activities both with her posts as a speaker at The Connecting Word video blog and podcast, and her position as director of her global language services, content creation, and translation company, Signewords.
Ten years ago, she founded the company of actresses Disperses, to tell stories of brave, sincere, creative women and writers, which had the collaboration of authors such as Carme Riera. Currently, the company is preparing the Radiofémina theater and cinema project.
She has always integrated her activities as a writer, speaker, and actress. And she has a postgraduate degree in legal translation, a law degree, and trained at the Barcelona Theater College and the David Mamet's Atlantic Acting School in New York. Maria Rotger writes and is a professional linguist in English, Spanish, and Catalan languages.
