Disappointed
9 October 2019
This film is more about Jeepers Creepers himself and showing how he is able to catch the people in which he is tracking down. As well as this you are able to see how a woman has a part of Jeepers Creepers that is able to look into his history and figure out the way of possibly destroying him. This did annoy me however as during this you see that two of the characters are able to see into his past but does not show the audience anything at all or really tell you anything about the past that they were shown. As well as this they destroy the hand in which shows them the Jeepers Creepers past making noone else able to see about him and really questions if the audience will ever know more about his past. It was a good film though and one that shows how the Jeepers Creepers van works and all the traps it has inside of it as well as outside.

A Bit Slow
9 October 2019
This film is about a boy who falls in love with a girl he went to high school with and after starting to get jealous starts to kill those who she has slept with and who she is friends with which pushes him away from her. As the film develops you see that love can not only be a positive to your life and those around you but it can also effect people in a very negative way and be very destructive. I found this film was rather slow at times however I did also like this film and the way it was portrayed.

Loved It
9 October 2019
As someone who grew up watching the Jumanji film with Robin Williams I was worried about the new film and if this would ruin the film that I grew up loving. I was gladly proven wrong! This film is based after Jumanji and is through a video game which is more with the times rather than board games, not only this but it is based around two people who are more nerds/geeks (one male and one female) and two of the popular group (one male and one female). As you see them coming to terms with their new characters and making it so that the popular ones are the more weak characters who aren't as popular and vice versa it made the film something for everyone. The casting for this film was amazing and having such amazing actors who made this film hilarious making me even cry with tears at some points. Not only this but there later on in the film there is a part where there is a mention of Alan who was Robin Williams character in the original film. To me this was a perfect way to honor him and the film franchise by acknowledging this and not trying to make it a remake but just a more modern film which shows where Alan was trapped within the game and why he was so scared about what was inside the game itself. This film is amazing and I couldn't praise it high enough and it is a film that is perfect for the whole family.

Better Than Expected
9 October 2019
As someone who only really likes musicals that are more of a horror nature this film really peaked my interest as it was to do with show business. With a cast I had grew up watching and becoming a fan of I had to see if this film was as good as I thought it would be and I was not disappointed at all. This film has an original soundtrack that not only inspired me in my real life but also that made me feel exactly what the characters were feeling. This film follows Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum who was the first person to ever create a circus and do a style of entertainment that was not of the norm. As someone who was not aware of him and did not know his story this really inspired me as he came from nothing and made, every obstacle he had into a positive thing he could work on and never giving up. As you see the characters grow and the circus grow in the theater and how after a long time it ended up in a tent which is how people of today would mostly know the circus. This film really inspired me and told me not to give up on my dreams no matter what obstacles get in my way and to always take every negative in my stride and to take a look at what I can do to make this a positive. I would highly recommend this film to everyone with an amazing cast, soundtrack and acting that really will inspire you.

It Wasn't Great
11 June 2019
I thought that this movie was good in showing how Phoenix had dangerous powers and that Jean had no control over them which led to her hurting the ones that she loved. Realising this she did try to get help from anyone who she thought would be able to help her which I thought was nice to see as it still showed that Jean was in there but she didn't know how to stop. Not only this but I liked some of the action sequences within the movie which did bring more of an X-Men feel to the movie as well as kept the watcher wanting to know who would survive and who wouldn't.

However, this film did have a lot of faults with it as well. With the characters development not having been properly formed and left a lot of questions for the audience such as; how Hank is able to transition into the Beast and human form so easily before when he couldn't previously, what the powers Jean had as a child really were as the new formed Phoenix powers were from a spark in space as the movies had shown, who the aliens really were that came for the spark in which Jean had managed to get inside of her and many more. The only character in which seemed to have been formed properly and have left the audience with a better understanding of the character was Eric who the audience could see was happy now that mutants had freedom in which he had always wanted. Not only this but the characters didn't react the way that they should have and how the audience would expect certain characters to such as with Nightcrawler going on a killing spree the way that he did, this seemed worse when they didn't focus on his religious connection at all so the impact of this was just lost unless you knew more about his backstory. Dark Phoenix did come across as rushed to me and when trying to put so much into the movie just left out key parts of what makes a film really enjoyable which was disappointing as I did enjoy the other movies which had the current cast and think that they ended it on a film which no-one is able to connect to the characters within it making it difficult to grab the watchers attention.

Great Sequel
3 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love that Ralph Breaks The Internet continues on from the first movie really well and tells us that it has been six years that the main characters have been friends for and how Vanellope is starting to get bored of her game and wants more excitement in her life. By also showing how Wi-fi became a part of the arcade and how scared the games are of it as it has the chance to close down the games as online games are becoming popular with a younger crowd. I also thought by having Vanellope get bored of her game and when going into the internet finding a game in which excited her and that she wanted to be a part of it was good in showing how people change and sometimes people need to find something new and break their normal routine so that they no longer feel stuck and sad by doing the same thing all of the time. Not only this but by showing how Ralph didn't want Vanellope to change and how it took him a while and to see just how jealous and bad a friend he was being to see that he was no being the friend in which he should be and was instead holding her back from who she really wanted to be. Showing that sometimes letting someone go is actually the best thing to do for your friends and that not seeing them all of the time isn't a bad thing and that people are able to communicate in other ways such as through a video call and can enjoy their time together more after they are reunited. By having the wheel of Vanellope's game break and them try to make the money any way that they could through the internet was something I thought was a cool way of introducing the internet the characters and how there are also virus's which are able to break games but are the dark web, having the different sides of the internet was something I thought was really cool and really made the internet come across as more real. Not only this but I thought it was enjoyable seeing how streaming sites worked within that world where pop ups are just characters with jobs and how they get money from the people who go to the site and give love on others while also able to drag people to their videos. Showing how the people in real life also liked the videos of Ralph and made them remember their childhood as well as only last a couple of moments I thought seemed real as it shows how people are able to get noticed however people will forget very shortly afterwards and you will become yesterdays news. Not only this but by showing how negative the internet can be was something I was so glad they showed within this movie from showing how happy Ralph was about his videos and the people watching them to seeing negative comments which made him feel not good enough and that people didn't actually like him when there was actually people who loved him as well. Showing how people need to stop focusing on what people they don't know and online say about them and just do what they feel makes them happy and focus on the people around them. Finally, I loved how Ralph made videos for viral videos and showed what they were as well as having the final end scene being a Rick Role which was a huge viral success in the past and how he made it his own. The animation within Ralph Breaks The Internet is brilliantly done and I love the music as well as the script for this film making it a great success for the whole family.

Personally, I can't fault this film and I really enjoy the work that Disney have done with the Wreck-It Ralph movies. This is something that the whole family is able to enjoy and I would highly recommend to people who liked the first movie as well as those who are looking for a funny adventure movie. I will definitely be seeing Ralph Breaks The Internet again.

Made Me Cry
30 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Having never seen this movie before and never having heard anything about it I was so happy to go into this movie completely blind. This is a movie which actually made me cry and I was so happy that it did as it showed just how good this movie was.

This film starts with showing how the main character is hunting then gets thrown off of a cliff making the audience unsure if he lives or not. Showing afterwards a week before that to give the film more context I thought was a really nice touch and left me wanting to know more about the tribe in which he belonged to. Showing how they were hunting and how the main character is the son of the chief however doesn't seem to think he can do it as he isn't the best at making fire or hunting was something I liked as it showed that he had faults and challenges he needed to overcome if he was going to become a chief like his father. Later showing the scene with him getting thrown off a cliff again however just clips of key elements I thought was good as it made the audience not need to watch the full scene again after having seen it not that long prior. The wolves in which come after him and try to kill him for food was a good touch as it showed how they were just looking for food like any other creature and it wasn't a personal attack. However, as he hurts one of the wolves and nurses it back to health I thought was really sweet and showed a lot of growth within the character. As Alpha develops you see the character talk to the wolf and understand how he really feels and that by looking after the wolf and trying to get home he is starting to fully take charge and be the man in which he could have always been. As he wolf leaves to join it's pack near the end of the movie however comes back to him when they realise he was in danger was something I found really sweet as it showed how the wolf cared for him after he helped to save it's life and there was loyalty with him over the pack who left them when they were injured. Finally, when the main character gets back to his camp and carried the wolf with him making sure it would be treated and safe I thought was an amazing thing as even though the tribe was unsure they understood how the man needed his wolf to be okay and to realise that it gave birth to a litter just after getting to the camp made me cry. This was so moving as it showed how even though she could have stayed with her pack to have them and have them looked after she chose to look after the one who helped her even when pregnant and the things she went through could have really hurt them. Personally, I love that this movie had a happy ending rather than a sad one which I thought it would do with the audience getting attached to the wolf, this surprised me and made me like the movie more! Having subtitles throughout the movie was also well done and didn't take away from the movie by making me feel like I was reading too much and missing parts of the movie but was really easy to follow which I personally liked as I am not a huge fan of subtitled movies. Not only this but visually this movie was really nice to look at and the angles were well placed as well as the scenery was gorgeous to look at which really helped to bring this movie together.

I can't fault this movie and would highly recommend it to people who are looking for an adventure movie which shows man's best friend. This is a film in which would be great for the whole family and especially to people who are a big lover of animals. I would definitely see this movie again as it was touching but also a movie which had me hooked pretty much straight away.

Love this film
28 May 2019
Being one of my favourite Disney movies and having not seen the second movie yet I thought it would be a good idea to watch the first one and get reacquainted with the characters and the story in which I enjoy so much. This is a film in which I always look forward to watching and that I like the concept of as well.

I love that Wreck-It Ralph shows the movie from a bad guys perspective who just wants to be accepted for who he is but because of his job people don't respect him. Having him want to get a medal to change this and gain the respect of those around him I think is really sad and shows how he does not feel like he is good enough because of those around him. This is such a strong message in my opinion about how people only see you the way that they want to and not for the person in which you are and how people have a strong impact on people. I think that by having him go into another game to get a medal however ending up in a car game where is helping a little girl achieve her dreams of racing is so sweet and I like that it showed how the girl liked him for who he was and that he didn't have to pretend to be someone who he wasn't. This showed that people will like you for yourself and sometimes you just need to meet new people and find the ones in which accept you as yourself with. Showing later in the film how the good guy in the game Ralph belongs to called Felix realising how he isn't liked elsewhere and understanding how Ralph feels is powerful as it helps to show how just because you are liked somewhere doesn't mean everyone else will like you and that sometimes going through someone else's experience can help you to understand them as well as create a new kind of bond with them. Finally, I like how the King in the racing game was pretending to be nice but underneath was mean which helped to highlight how some people can put on an act about being a nice person but can have an evil core and will do anything to turn people against one another like he does to one of the children within the game, showing how some people can be bad even when they don't act like it all of the time. Personally, the animation style of this movie is something in which I really like and really helped to make this more of an arcade type feel to the movie. Not only this but showing arcade characters within the movie which people are aware of such as Bowser, Sonic and others was a nice way of showing different games in which an older audience was able to enjoy and bring them back to their childhood. Not only this but by having a bad guy support group was something in which I thought was really cool as it showed how they all felt the same and that they wanted to be liked by others and that even though they were classed as villains they still have feelings and wanted to talk about them, which made them feel more human.

Wreck-It Ralph is one of the best Disney movies around in my opinion and I can't wait to watch the second one. This is a film in which I think the whole family would enjoy and does have a great message for children in which I think is a key aspect of this movie. I would highly recommend this to Disney fans, people are fans of video games and those who are looking for a movie to watch with the whole family. I am definitely going to be seeing this again

Pup Star (2016 Video)

It Was Good
16 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I really liked how this film at the beginning showed how humans were able to talk to dogs and how that evolution took place in order to understand how dogs were able to talk to humans and be able to understood. This really helped to set up the film and with it having to do with a dog singing competition helped to show how humans were able to enjoy them even though dogs were mostly in control. Another thing about this film in which I thought was a really great addition was that all of the dogs which were in the pound with Tiny after she got stolen were able to find homes and an owner which was perfect for them along their journey, I loved this as it made the dogs seem a lot more real as well as make the audience care a lot more for the dogs within the movie. Having the audience not really understand why Bark and Charlie had problems with each other until near the end was something I found helped to keep my attention throughout the movie and kept me wondering what really happened between them and why Bark was so determined to get rid of Charlie. The singing within this movie was really well done in my opinion and I thought was really sweet showing different styles of music throughout it with the different breeds of dog. Finally, I really liked the humour which was in Pup Star and it did make me smile and laugh on a couple of occasions which is something in which I was looking for when I started this movie.

Unfortunately, there was problems with this movie as well such as the CGI within the film which you could tell was not perfect throughout the movie and did make some of the scenes not as good as they could have been while also making the scene seem more amateur. Not only this but I found that at points my attention kept leaving the movie which is something which did disappoint me as it was a film in which was a good watch and something that was really easy viewing.

Overall, I did like this movie and glad I did give Pup Star a watch as it was enjoyable and something which was very easy watching which is something in which I was looking for. I would recommend this movie to families who are looking for a movie to watch together as well as those who are looking for an adventure movie which involves dogs. I would watch this film again but it isn't something in which I could watch all of the time.

Perfect
14 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The CGI within this film is exceptional and made me really feel that the Pokemon in which were on the screen were real which left me leaving the cinema disappointed I wasn't going to be seeing real life Pokemon. Making an adaptation of a gaming world in which is vastly loved is a hard thing to do however I feel that this film done it perfectly and is one of the best adaptations of a game made into live action I have ever seen. I also found that the humour within this film was spot on and helped to really make this film great for the whole family as well as a hit with adults who grew up with the Pokemon franchise. Not only this but having links to Kanto with Mewtwo shown as the villain though later found out to be the good guy within this gave a lot of nostalgia as well as made the audience feel for him and the pain in which he had been suffering. This movie did make me really happy and smile and get excited as well as upset me at moments and have me close to tears with showing how Pikachu was really his father who was about to die. This was a really sweet moment of the movie and one that stayed with me even after the movie ended. I really hope that this is something in which they do more often and that Pokemon keep doing live action movies as this was done perfectly and as a result has become my favourite movie of 2019 so far!

There is nothing about this film in which I could fault and I highly recommend Detective Pikachu to those who are a fan of the Pokemon franchise but also those who are looking for a great family movie. This is definitely my favourite movie of 2019 so far and I really hope that they make more live action movies! I am definitely going to be buying this movie when it gets released onto physical format.

Loved It
13 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I love how this film starts with showing how the Boov keep running away from their enemies which I think sets the atmosphere for the movie really well. With only one of them seeming different and that being Oh I like how it shows how he is just wanting to be friends with people and makes mistakes like everyone however wants to fix them as much as he possibly can. With finding a human girl and learning from her about family and the need for friendship I thought it was really sweet and created an amazing bond between the alien and the human as well as making the audience want them to survive together. Not only this humour throughout this film helped to keep it nice and light which is perfect for children while also having a more emotional impact when the girl finally gets reunited with her mother after being away from her because of the aliens and thinking they will never see each other again. Not only that but by showing how far family will go to get back to each other and the love for each other helped Oh to discover why the aliens they were running away from was searching for them and it was because they had the young of that species in which the leader of the Boov had stolen from them which could have made their race extinct. The animation throughout was really well done as well and helped to create the atmosphere and make this movie a great experience in which I found it really easy to get lost in.

Overall, this is a great animation movie in which I would recommend for the whole family as well as for those who are looking for a comedy movie. This is definitely a movie I will see again and I can't think of any faults with it.

Love this movie
24 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Having seen this movie loads of times before and being a fan of Disney I was so happy to give this another watch and review it. This is a film in which I always enjoy, makes me laugh and has songs in which I always find myself singing along to.

I love that this film has the traditional Disney set up however has the girl as someone who is in charge and tying to save her people by going to the Gods and putting the heart back. I love that this has her having to find out the true history of her people in order to understand why it is so crucial for her to go and find the Demigod and how to help save her people from dying of starvation now that her island's life is starting to rot. I do think that the chicken in which is rather stupid is rather funny and he is one of my favourite characters and does make me laugh with just how much he doesn't realise what is really happening around him or what he is doing. The music as well within the movie is really catchy and very easy to get stuck in your head, making you sing along. Having the ending of the movie where Maui realised why the lava monster was coming after him and his past as well with him being born human was something I thought brought a lot of information about the character and helped the audience more connect with him. Having the heart of the land being taken and that was why the land was dying I thought was a really good touch and highlights how people need to look after the Earth or it will disappear and die around humanity.

Overall, Moana is a great Disney film and one that I will watch again and again. I really hope that they make more like this as it is one in which I really enjoyed and one of my favourites from them in recent times. I would recommend this film to those who are a fan of Disney, animated movies and people who are looking for a film in which the whole family can watch and enjoy. This is definitely a film I will watch again.

The Silence (II) (2019)

Liked it a lot more than expected
11 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I like that this film started with showing how the creatures came into the world and left the audience wondering what life was like under the cave that was hidden away from the world as well as what other creatures could be living down there or if they were the only ones. I also liked how the creatures seemed like bats with how they moved and how they looked which showed how the evolution of them came into being and made the creatures seem more terrifying as a result. Having one of the children being deaf was something I thought was a good change as it showed how the family were better equipped to survive as they were able to do sign language to each other and didn't have to speak which helped them to stay alive. Having the small cult who cut their tongues out in order to not speak was something that was a good addition as it showed how other people were surviving and that not everyone was able to do sign language so they were writing on pads of paper. By having them also want the daughter because she was fertile did scare me a little and how they would do anything to have her including getting the monsters to try and kill the family so she would have no option but to go with them. This did make me scared of them and wonder who else they had done this to in order to gain more members. The ending was something else I liked with seeing how people were going to be able to survive by living in the north where it was colder as the monsters were unable to survive, this gave me hope for the human race although upon the family arriving at the refuge it did make me hope that maybe there would be a second movie.

The only thing about this film in which I could call as a negative is due to the family whispering and dong sign language and not always doing this there was parts of the movie in which I didn't understand what they were saying to each other which I wish I did. However, this didn't take away from the movie too much for me. I also thought that the story for this film had been done before but still kept me on the edge of my seat.

It Was Okay
10 April 2019
I thought that this film was rather good and I loved the friendship and how determined the children were in getting their dreams as well as how great the animation of this film was. However I feel there was more that they could have done with the movie and it was rather lacking and the villain was not original at all.

Rather Good
8 April 2019
I thought this film really did bring the feel of Goosebumps to the movie and I like that this movie was about Slappy and how powerful he really is. I do wish however that there was more of R.L. Stine in this movie as he didn't really have a role in this movie except for at the ending and even then he wasn't needed except to bring in the cliffhanger for a third movie.

Amazing

This is one of the best animal movies in my opinion, showing how they will go to any lengths to help each other as well as find their owners once they think something has happened to them. The determination shown in this movie is so heart warming and makes me love this movie so much. Not only this but it has such a warming ending which always makes me cry.

Great for Pokemon fans
27 January 2019
This is great for Pokemon fans as it brings it from the very first episode of the anime and how Ash gets Pikachu and how their friendship grows but also shows about the legendary Pokemon which is also in the world.

I do think however they should have showed more of the battles and more of the actual adventure to get to HoHo as it is saddening that they don't show more of this

This film is brilliant and is full of emotion all of the way through it which helps when you are able to connect to each of the different characters. The humour is also well done and doesn't take away from the movie at all and helps to keep this nice and light when it is needed.

Amazing film and one I will always recommend

Not the Best
15 January 2019
I thought that this movie was actually just rather sad and I kept feeling that the characters were always complaining and never actually all that happy which just made me not feel the light tone of the movie. I also thought that this movie didn't really go into any of the characters so I couldn't really connect to any of them.

The ending was really sweet however which did make me like this a little more but it could have been a lot better.

Predictable but great for a family
11 January 2019
I thought that this movie would be perfect for people who are looking for an adventure movie that they can watch with children. This movie was really predictable and did bore me at points but I feel that a younger demographic would really like this. Also I like the message of never giving up on your dreams which is throughout this movie.
