You're Next (2011)
Serviceble but awful camera ruins everything
If you suffer from motion sickness stay away from this... and even if you don't, you might get some anyway.
Uncomfortable close-ups to actor faces and a shaky camera are the worse combination and this movie has both even in the most inconsequential of scenes.
Around the time the real fun begins, you might be already sick of it to not care.
Not all is bad, bloody effects are pretty decent, and characters have some kind of chemistry, better than some other slashers movies, but nothing more.
For genre lovers, it's a good watch, but if you aren't into this kind of thing, it's hard to recommend.
Senzo: Murder of a Soccer Star (2022)
There doesn't seem to be the police side of the investigation
Despite it's long runtime, it falls short on an official side of things, instead dwells way to much on gossip, clear dead ends and at times redundant storytelling at other times it's hard to follow.
Inventing Anna: Too Rich for Her Blood (2022)
And the show drops again in quality
This episode drags along the story, with something we might want to know more but isn't worth knowing and yet it makes it even bigger than it should.
As with episode 1, this feel stuffed with filler and I recommend reading a resume of the episode.
Inventing Anna: Life of a VIP (2022)
Horrendous and boring first episode
Don't let my headline stop you from watching this miniseries. The story behind this girl is thrilling, but this feels like too much of filler and that may scare some viewers.
Read a resume of the episode, watch like the last 10 minutes and enjoy, because it gets really interesting.
Kadaver (2020)
Extremely good ambience, but bad execution
The hotel and depiction of the post apocalyptic world drips with great production values, but it stumbles with its story telling.
Despite it's short run, the movie drags quite a lot in the first half and ends in an anticlimactic way.
Ratched: Got No Strings (2020)
This pretty much be the peak of the series
The theater retelling of Ratched backstory was wonderfully out together with out getting to gritty on details. It only comes undone with unneeded exposition of the same events in the next scene.
Despite that, this was one of the most memorable episodes.
Ratched: Mildred and Edmund (2020)
Not the best tie-in for a finale
For a well filmed series and well acted scenes, with intrincated stories it ends flats with out of nowhere twist that don't feel fulfilling and alliances that really don't make sense on one side.
I, for one, felt betrayed by this finale and wished it could have ended with out setting a direct sequel, despite it being a prequel.
How to Fix a Drug Scandal (2020)
The story was there but not the telling
The story itself is pretty interesting but suffers heavely by padding by going around the same issue many times, it could be only two episodes long and tell a more easy to follow film.
