The Fall of Minneapolis (2023)
Propaganda, Lies, and Racism
If you've seen 2000 Mules, you know what this is. A bunch of easily debunked rage farming for people on the right.
The reality is simple. George Floyd did not have a lethal amount of Fentanyl in his system. In a study of overdoses the average concentration was 2.5x higher than Floyd's. You can find the study by Googling "Reliability of Postmortem Fentanyl Concentrations in Determining the Cause of Death"
Also, with just a smidgen of critical thinking, you'd realize that the odds of Floyd dying from an overdose at the same moment he was being asphyxiated are...0.
Derek Chauvin is a monster and hopefully people learn that police aren't immune from the consequences of their actions.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Good character building but....'
I liked the characters but this is a superhero film. The action wasn't great and they never explained the powers of the rings. It's hard to know how much to appreciate a fight when the power of the rings are unknown/limitless. The last battle is a let down as well and could have featured the main character more.
Justin Bieber: Our World (2021)
Documentary?
More of a concert than a documentary. There's a lot of music, the problem is the music isn't very good. Fans of Bieber will like it and he won't convert any new fans. At this point any Justin Bieber film is just a money grab aimed at his existing fan base. Nothing really meaningful to see here.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Ugh
So many implausible moments occur that I'm actually offended by how dumb the writers of this movie think I am.
