Too many, 1 was really enough
28 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is the same movie as the first three. Here is the plot John Wick wants out as an assassin, and people are trying to kill him. The main difference in this one is it is much, much longer than the previous films.

Suspending belief is necessary in most action movies, but this one takes the cake. Bullet proof jackets, that look like normal jackets, that can stop bullets from point blank range, check.

Inept goons who willingly run to their ultimate death, check.

Whole squads of goons waiting one by one to challenge our hero, check.

It's all here, and it's all been done before. Bottom line is, the movie is too long, and to monotonous. Wick fanboys will love it. Older folks who have seen decades of action movies will think it's just meh.

Terrible waste of time
28 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is pretty awful from beginning to end. I only continued to watch to see if there is some big payoff for holding on to the end. There isn't. I found myself hoping all the characters were killed, not a single one of them is remotely likeable, except maybe for Daniel Craig's Benoit character.

Janelle Monae is not an actress. Her twin sister character, southern bumpkin act is cringe worthy at best.

Of course, it's made in 2022, so the virtue signaling is very prevalent. They make sure to show people wearing useless masks and referring to lockdown, and the pandemic.

Save your time, unless you like the garbage Hollywood pumps out today. In that case, you will probably love it.

Classic Beavis & Butthead
13 August 2022
If you liked Beavis & Butthead back in the day, you will like this. The movie stays true to what B&B was. The toilet humor is still there, and it's glorious. They thankfully didn't go woke like 95% of what is out today.

Recycled Humor
28 July 2022
The short movie they showed before the feature was pure garbage. For that I would wait for streaming.

As for Paws of Fury, it is merely recycled Mel Brooks style humor. A great number of the jokes and gags were lifted from Blazing Saddles, but much more sanitized. My son said he liked it, but I'm guessing a bunch of the jokes went over his head.

Decent sequel
18 April 2022
If you like the Sonic universe, you'll like this movie. I would have rated it higher, if they would have cut some of the wedding scenes. It was mostly filler and unnecessarily added to the run time.

Scenes with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Eggman are good. Scenes with the other human characters are pointless.

Funny, for a short time.

For players of open world games, specifically GTA & Saint's Row, you will find humor in it. However, it loses steam fairly quickly once that novelty wears off.

Fans of Ryan Reynolds will like this, as he plays a softer/kinder Deadpool.

Not for superhero nerds
19 September 2021
Funny show. Take it as it is. Nonsensical show. It's not trying to have a message. It's aiming to make you laugh, and it does. If you are looking for super hero action, this isn't it. Making fun of the superhero genre, is kind of the point.

Apt beginning for a poisonous corporation.
10 September 2021
McDonald's serves poison to people, so it's only fitting that the "founder" was a slimeball. Good acting performances from a number of recognizable faces. You shouldn't patronize this restaurant because of what they serve, but after viewing this film, you shouldn't after how you see its rise to power.

Biographical Masterpiece
31 August 2021
If you are looking for a war movie, this isn't necessarily it. If you are looking for a peek into the experience of one of the greatest US military leaders, you have found it! Patton was a leader, plain and simple. His methods were sometimes rough, but necessary. The one and only objective on his mind was victory, not political life after the war. A lesson the US military brass has failed to accomplish since WW2, the last war we have actually won.

It's for kids
13 July 2021
This is a kids movie, first and foremost. If you are looking for a cinematic masterpiece, move along. My son loved the movie, I thought it was pretty bad. The wife doesn't really play an important role, other than checking off a diversity box in 2020. Bottom line, my kid liked it. It is certainly family friendly, so that's a plus. The most entertaining part is the end credits.

Could have been better, still ok.

Not a terrible movie, but nothing special either. Recognizable cast, with some laughs. If you're a Bruce Willis fan, you'll like it. It's worth the watch on streaming services.

Tough to rate this show.
26 April 2021
This show could probably have 3 to 4 different ratings depending on the era. This show has spanned 30+ seasons. For me the first 10-11 seasons would be easily a 10. The first couple aren't great, but are still entertaining, season 3 is when it became great. It slowly goes down hill after that, before the bottom drops out. The show needs to end, it's well past its sell by date.

So an overall 8 is very generous in my estimation. For someone who has never seen it, stick to seasons 3 through 10.

Don't waste your time.
29 March 2021
I can't write a full review, as I could only stomach 30 minutes of this movie before I shut it off. Not one laugh or anything close to it in the first half hour. I can't think of any reason to watch this movie, unless you are related to someone in the movie, and even then, you'll probably just be embarrassed for them.

Dunkirk (2017)

Boring movie
13 February 2021
The Christopher Nolan fanboys will tell you this is a masterpiece. It simply isn't. Some scenes are good, but the story just isn't told. Imagine that many men stuck in a small town, we never really get the scope of that. If you are someone who knows nothing of Dunkirk, you won't learn a single thing about it from this film.

Fun movie, not to be taken seriously
7 February 2021
Fun, party movie. I'm not sure what all the butt hurt, low rating people were expecting. If you get offended by horny teenagers, alcohol and drug use, you should probably skip this movie. It's a movie! Of course it's not real, or intended to have some deep meaning that you will think about when you are done watching it. Also, if you are easily offended by words, skip this, and go watch something else.

Failed sequel
28 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first WW was a decent movie, the second installment is not. The plot is basic, and has been done before. The setting is 1984, we get it, but really has no bearing on the story, at all. However, the movie sure made sure to show plenty of pastel colors and popped collars, because you know, the 80s. The CGI is really bad in some places, and the action sequences are also stale and boring. This film does nothing to set up any future stories within the DCEU, or really shed any light on WW, other than the opening scene showing her as a child. The worst part of all has to be the ending. Max Lord has to touch people to grant wishes, but at the end all he has to do is appear on TV? What!? Also, to break the wishes he granted, all a person has to do is renounce the wish. So in the end, WW really isn't needed at all.
