I really liked the original, so I was glad to hear it was coming back.

Unfortunately, this go around for some reason they decided that instead of just telling good stories they just shove a bunch of politics into this.

It had a lot of potentials, with stories about a housewive from the 50s and a black doctor from the 20s and even a reality star realizing there is more to life than fame.

But with every potential good story, they just shove extra nonesence to it. For example, the doctor suddenly also feels trans (they never addressed it after it happened), and the disabled girl being in a cult with a man contrilling everyone (again, barely addressed after it is shown), and every second character is LGTBTQ+ or white and evil.

They should have just focused on telling good stories about interesting people instead of preaching to us about how evil and cicgender and white everyone else is.

An OK Christmas story, attractive cast, nice scenery. Acting, story, script and editing below average, too many plot holes and side stories that amount to nothing and just feel like time fillers.

I couldn't really understand why the company wanted their land so much for a warehouse, no one explained it, it is in the middle of nowhere and didn't seem like a very accessible or centric area, I would think that land in wine country would be a bit expensive for a warehouse.

I understand that the grapes are supposed to be important but they seem super neglected so I can't imagine how they made any wine out of them.

Also, they had a picture of Manny, but for some reason they didn't realize that Joseph is not him although they look nothing alike, and even when the girl looked at the photo and realized Joseph is not Manny she didn't say anything and nothing happened, so you have a stranger in your house and you tell no one? didn't understand what was the point of that story line.

Same for the Colin story line, is he her friend? he ex's friend? he likes her? one dimensional character that provides no added value to the story.

When watching the movie in the beginning I was a bit confused, there was no exposition or background, and I kept trying to understand what was going one. Flashbacks or some intro would have been very helpful, it is kind of feels like the story is starting from a middle point and I'm trying to catch up (I know it is supposed to be a continuation of the previous movies but considering the time passed and the different cast it should have been treated differently than an actual sequel)

The effects are very impressive, the acting is not bad, I do like the cast, I think they are did a good job, I do think Richard White is too amazing, to the point where I can't really understand why anyone would choose Superman over him, which I would say is a bit of an issue because Superman is supposed to be the desirable one.

Brandon Routh is believable as both Clark Kent and Superman, but it does feel like they are trying to copy Christopher Reeves version too much, like his version was missing it's own take on the character.

I liked the leads, I think Damon is very charming and great as a romantic lead. The premise of the movie is not very believable, but regardless of the problematic plot, the story was shown in a very shallow way, it never developed into anything interesting, they didn't discuss why Arianna cheated, introduced any normal woman into the dating mix or explained why the dates didn't go well (1000 dates and all weirdos?), I couldn't understand when he actually works, if he even had a second date with someone on the website or if he was ever interested in any of them. The trial was horrible, it added nothing besides a stage for the final speech, which was OK, but didn't provide any struggle or drama.

All the cast were really good, it shows a type of an alternative reality that would have been great if it actually happened, I think we all would have gotten to enjoy much more creative and interesting films if more diverse people got a voice back then.

It captures the old Hollywood vibe which I really enjoyed seeing, although I do think they are lacking a bit more conflict, since things seem to constantly just work out for everyone.

It was fun to watch although many things didn't make much sense, for example, how does Roy have money to pay for an expensive prostitute?, in the last two episode especially, things just made no sense, for example. if Ace dies and leaves everything to Avis, how can the lawyers just burst in and burn the movie, another example would be, Camile delivering a great speech when she wasn't let in, but then when they go in to sit, Archie is already sitting, which makes little sense considering he is black as well, or that they made such a big deal by Archie and Roy arriving together, but Dick and in bf are there as well which takes a lot out of their brave action.
