Malevolent (2018)
Not sure what genre this is?
Was expecting a horror film, and it continued to go in loops in the beginning. I kept waiting for a horror aspect and it just seemed like a family mystery drama.
States of Undress (2016)
In my top favorite shows
Hailey is one of the most charming and delightful people on television. The worst part of a good show is a bad host, and that doesn't happen here. Sometimes it's hard to watch media on fashion because I'm intimidated, it's as if it's just too luxurious or expensive for me so I can't possibly understand it. This show never made me feel like that. I am so thankful you found such a gracious and fun person to travel the world and share her findings. It was relatable and easy to understand. There were things that made me happy, and things I saw that enraged me, all while filling that admiration I have for fabrics and design. For me this is a quality show with depth and beauty.
Dopesick Nation (2018)
Waiting for the wow factor.
Not really sure if this is a show about addicts receiving help, or if it's so we can watch that skinny blonde girl talk about herself and vape? Also, we need more backstory about what happened to that guy's face. It seems like the minute I'm paying attention to someone's backstory, here come Allie and Frankie again vlogging about themselves from the front seat of a car taking away from anything interesting. Personally, I don't watch docu-series that cover addictions so I can learn about the sober people, sorry, it's boring.
Hollywood Love Story (2018)
Paris Hilton has the personality of wet cement.
A few of the episodes were intriguing (mental illness, body positivity), but VICELAND really dropped the ball hiring this woman (who can't decide on which voice to speak with since 2006) to host. Paris Hilton is about as relevant as a paper plate. I stopped watching the series because I couldn't make it through her monologues. The show is really great for young people that idolize social media influencers, so they can see how desperate and financially strapped they really are behind the filter. (Maybe VICELAND meant this to be an Exposé so it's supposed to be terrible on purpose?)
