He's All That (2021)
Cringe worthy rip off of She's All That
So cringe I couldn't even finish the movie. Terrible acting.... I can see how teens would like it, but the only good thing about this movie is Racheal Leigh Cook making an appearance. Go watch She's All That instead.
Black Swan (2010)
Disturbingly beautiful.
When I saw that this film was on the cinema I asked a few of my friends who had seen it what they thought about it - the answers I got were "weird, stupid, confusing and not worth watching."
They couldn't have been more wrong. This film just took my breath away. Wow! What an amazing movie, a masterpiece if you will. Everything about it just captured me, from the gorgeous dancing (I was never a fan of ballet but this was just brilliant) to the darkest moments in the film, such as the ending and everything in between.
The cast, in my opinion, played their roles excellently. Especially Natalie Portman, who was absolutely amazing, she deserved every bit of the Oscar she won and you can see why in the movie. She just completely aced the role of Nina. I could go on praising her performance but words just can't do it justice... You simply must go and see it for yourself. Enjoy!
The Women (1939)
"I've had two years to grow claws mother.... Jungle Red!"
This movie is definitely amazing. I have watched this movie over and over again and I don't think i'll ever get bored of it! The script is clever and witty and not to mention the cast is just FANTASTIC. Norma Shearer is simply beautiful and played the part of Mary Haines wonderfully. The rest of the cast was set to perfect standards and each and everyone of them played their parts nicely.
The 2008 remake will never beat this 1939 version - ever. Once you've watched this version, watching the 2008 remake is difficult (at least for me) because the characters aren't as believable as the original ones. Although they did try to add some original lines into the remake... It didn't work too well.
Overall this movie is just great and it's definitely been added to my list of favorite movies. Definitely worth watching!
Pigs (2007)
For the guys...Not the girls
OK for starters this movie absolutely shocked me. The biggest load of crap I have ever seen! They guys in this movie were the most disgusting, rudest, a**holes. I felt like strangling Cleaver and Miles because they acted like complete horny idiots. This movie makes girls look like cheap sl*ts who just want to have sex with any random guy that happens to step foot on their doorstep. But there is one thing that made me give this movie an extra rating point and that was the ending. I am so glad that Gabrielle got Miles back. Just when I thought that Gabrielle gave in to Miles, there was another twist. Good on her for that. Bout time someone taught Miles a lesson. What a jerk he turned out to be! This is definitely one for the guys. I know most girls would be disgusted with it.
License to Wed (2007)
Funny...but annoying
This movie was OK. Not something i'd watch again unless I really had to.
I did get a few laughs from it!
Robin Williams was fantastic, he is a great actor and pulls off his scenes quite well adding a touch of humor where it was needed.
John Krasinski's character annoyed the living hell out of me with his whining and complaining about Reverend Frank.
Mandy Moore acted well, surprisingly! I never thought she could act although I must admit I liked her better in Because I Said So.
Expected it to be better but we can't have everything now can we! Not the best, but not the worst either.
Because I Said So (2007)
Enjoyable
This movie wasn't too bad. I expected it to be a little better though! Mandy Moore, to my surprise, was actually a good actress in this film. She pulled off her emotional scenes quite well along with the humorous ones.
Diane Keaton made me laugh. Her scenes were mostly funny...and when they were meant to be serious it was still funny.
Lauren Graham & Piper Perabo weren't too bad. I found it odd to watch Lauren Graham in this movie because I've only seen her in Gilmore Girls and The Pacifier.
Overall I enjoyed it and recommend it if your up for a laugh with some friends at a sleep over or something. Not one to watch with your parents if you get embarrassed during sexual scenes!
Uptown Girls (2003)
Great and a half.
Brittany Murphy was really great and played her role well. I definitely love her acting skills in this movie! She brings laughter to the film with her funny lines and actions.
Dakota Fanning - I must admit - is a good little actress in this movie. She is serious and acts like an adult. She made the film interesting along with her lines. "I had those shoes... When I was 5."
Marley Shelton's character, Ingrid, however annoyed the hell out of me with her whining.
This movie had it's serious parts and funny parts. The serious parts were sad, and the funny parts were, well, funny!
I mostly laughed at Brittany Murpheys scenes where she acted like a child and then you have Fanning being the grown up of the film.
I liked it and I think it's worth watching especially because Brittany Murphey does a great job!
Georgia Rule (2007)
Interestingly different!
OK, when I went to watch this, judging by the picture of the 3 ladies on the cover, it looked like it was going to be one of those family flicks with romance and comedy...
Oh how wrong I was...!
I had no idea the film would be so serious! The storyline was odd but interesting and kind of weird. I definitely wasn't expecting the storyline to be the way it was that's for sure.
Lindsay Lohan wasn't too bad in this film. She gives an interesting performance along with some funny lines!
Jane Fonda made me laugh a few times with the things that she did.
Felicity Huffman did a great job at playing Lohan's alcoholic mother, didn't get too many laughs out of her lines or actions.
John Tucker Must Die (2006)
Loved it!
When I saw this movie I started laughing from the start! Brittany Snow was fantastic, her acting was great and she played her loser role really well. She had some really funny lines too! Ashanti, Sophia Bush, Arielle Kebbel were great too, all 3 gave a funny performance with some hilarious actions and lines! "Yeah, it's so sad cause I'm so lovely.... Lonely - i'm so lonely." <--- this line had to be my favorite line from the whole movie! The fight in their gym class was so funny and the 3 goth girls made me laugh. "It's Lecrisha!" Jesse Metcalfe wasn't too bad, he played his well also.
It's definitely worth watching if you feel like watching a teen flick with romance, comedy and a little bit of seriousness on the side! Not bad at all! It definitely made it to my favorite movie list anyway!
