The Dry (2022)
Absolute Blinder
Relatable, dark, despicable, yet abundantly human characters. The dry has everything you want from a dramedy and it's full of Irish craic.
Shiv and her fellow Sheridan clan are a fantastic Portrayal of ordinary Vs extraordinary and how trauma can creep up on us. This series had me roaring with laughter and crying real tears. Can't wait to see more. Reminds me of the Marianne Keyes book of Again Rachel.
Ciaran Hinds is a phenomenal actor but I think this is definitely one of my favourite roles for him. My only gripe if I could find one would be to make the episodes longer. I need more of these people on my screens.
Am I Being Unreasonable? (2022)
Daisy & Seline - A dynamic duo
Absolutely loved this. Stellar writing from Cooper as always.
An unlikely tale of hardship, friendship, affluence and adultery. A few loose ends that definitely need tying up so will be disappointed if this isn't recommissioned. Watched it twice through and loved it even more the second time.
Beautifully and clearly very thoughtfully cast. Whom ever made the decisions on the characters got it so very right. League of gentlemen meets Motherland. Every cast member brings something unique and exciting to this show! Really hoping to see more of Cooper and Hezli soon. For This Country fans - get over it. This is a totally different show.
Pieces of Her (2022)
Didn't do Karin Slaughter justice
Karin Slaughter's book of the same name which the show is based upon, is an intelligently written and fiercely gripping novel. This show let the cast down with its jumbled scripts and flash back scenes. A first world injustice in my opinion.
With Love (2021)
Wholesome, simple, easy watch
If you're looking for big drama this is not the show for you. If you want a warm and hygge type hug - give it a watch. The characters are all likeable and relatable even if some of the storylines are cliche. Who cares! I still loved it.
Mayans M.C. (2018)
Perfect spin off
What's all the negativity about? This is everything SOA was and there's more to come yet. Give it a damn chance!
