The one thing that struck me about this show is the inordinately high number of cast members with blue eyes! They percentage of people in the broader population with blue eyes is around 8-10%. In Blue Lights it's more like 80-90%. Do the Northern Irish have a uniquely high number of blue eyed people or do cast members wear coloured contact lenses as some sort of play on the series name? Anyone got any ideas about this?

Anyway, this show is well made, albeit on what appears to be a low budget. Main characters have intriguing personalities and there is an ample supply of NI humour. We'll worth watching.

Got quite caught up in series 1. A somewhat fanciful but enjoyable plot line with a solid cast. Season 2 started badly and quickly faded away. A serious of increasingly nonsensical twists in the story leading the episodes to become increasingly painful to watch. You will get to a point where you simply can go no further. Mine was at about 35 mins into episode 2.
