Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun (2020)
I'm dying for more
This is such a fluffy yet dark anime and I've never seen anything quite like it. When I started watching it, I was not expecting to fall in love with it as hard as I did. It deserves a second season ASAP.
Love Hard (2021)
Why are we collectively acting like the male lead isn't adorable?
Yes, he was a catfish. But he's objectively cute and we're supposed to believe he's a deplorable? Nah. It's just barely watchable. It's a rainy day Sunday afternoon movie.
Antlers (2021)
Sigh...
For a movie that was delayed for so long the ending was so rushed and thrown together! My brother and I came up with a better ending driving home from the movie. And how can a boss battle be so utterly....disappointing? Hollywood really needs to start getting some fresh eyes during editing to look at these movies, because that was absolutely tragic.
Till Death (2021)
From someone who enjoys a bad movie...
This just stunk. Once a character is repeatedly stabbed and the assailant had not a drop of blood on their hand or the knife, I threw my hands up and turned it off. Certainly a severe disappointment.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf (2021)
Bold of you to call this anime
Anime is stylistic. This is a cartoon. Netflix is capitalizing on anime's recent surge in popularity. The content is mediocre in every way. It's less than an hour and a half and I found myself constantly checking the time to see how much more was left.
Dirty John (2018)
Good actors wasted on slow development
I didn't go in with high hopes and the show still disappointed. This show simply flat lined for me. I only finished it because I started it. I would meander out of the room without bothering to pause it, begin cleaning, scroll through my phone, and only half listen to it. I think it would have been better suited to be a movie rather than a show. The actors are all great EXCEPT THE STINKING DAUGHTER VERONICA!!! What director thought her nasally, obnoxious, and monotone attitude was a good delivery or call???
The Invitation (2015)
IMDb and I are going to have trust issues after this...
6.7?!?
This movie was such a disappointment that I feel that I should be reimbursed for emotional distress (bored into tears). Whatever you think your time is worth whether it's $1 an hour or $1,000 dollars an hour you're better off just taking that amount of money and physically throwing it in the trash. That's how ripped off you'll feel after wasting an hour and twenty minutes on nothing but mindless small talk by the dinner guests, corny flashbacks, and intense stares from the protagonist. Only to get to the climax, which is much like a selfish lover; unsatisfying, quick, and with no apology or explanation.
