To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2018)
LOVED IT!
The rom com i didnt know i needed! Been so long since i watched a feel good rom com as great as this. The whole cast are so likeable and the storyline was so sweet i wished the movie didn't end. To find out that it's based on a trilogy book series, boy, i really hope they will make a sequel. Watch it if you have not. Trust me, you'll love it.
Tag (2018)
Amazingly funny
The cast is great and the movie is so funny. It's amazing how this is based on a true story! I was not bored at any moment of the movie, and its touching how these guys have this game of tag which keeps them together all these years. You don't stop playing when you grow old. You grow old when you stop playing
Party of Five (1994)
Incredible
What an amazing show! Just finished watching the series finale and cried like a baby. When you watch the show from Season 1, when the Salingers just lost their parents, you watch how each of them dealt with it. Charlie being the oldest sibling having to step up and take care and parent his younger siblings. As an eldest child myself I see a lot of myself in Charlie and understand all the sacrifices he made for the sake the his younger siblings. My Favourite episode is The Intervention, wow. I believe one of my favourites in any show. As the Seasons go on, you grow up with them and then you start to feel like they are your family. When they laugh, you laugh. When they get good news, you rejoice with them. When they cry, you cry. And that's all you want from a tv show, to love the characters/stories.
A Wrinkle in Time (2018)
Beautiful however confusing
Star studded movie with touching performances. The love a Daughter has for her Father, a Wife's longing for her Husband, the pure innocence of a little boy, and the kindness of someone who understands pain. Certain parts of the movie, however, is confusing. For example, when Charles Wallace was influenced by The It? Spent quite some time trying to figure out while it was unfolding whether he was possessed by The It? Influenced by the It? Was he affected cos he ate the sandwich? And towards the end, when Dr. Murrey could teleport his own way home. How could he do it on his own and why didn't he do it before to save himself? Lovely movie however I do struggle trying to make sense of it.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
It was okay
That's how i felt about the movie. That it was okay however not mindblowing or great. The start of the movie was okay but it became boring as the movie went on. Not a good or gripping plot. One part though, that i would commend, is the scene where the lava has consumed almost the whole island and there was that one dinosaur left, watching the others escape as he had nowhere to go and no way to escape. Hit me right in the feels.
6 Balloons (2018)
Gut wrenching
This story is about a sister's love for her Brother and how much she sacrifices for him. There is no big event or a climax in the movie however it does bring you on her journey. You feel her pain, her disappointment, her anger. It's a good movie. Those who have or had someone they love with a drug addiction will find this story all too familiar and for those who don't, this shines a light on what they go through.
The Kissing Booth (2018)
Surprisingly good!
I went in expecting it to be bad and thought i would not be able to finish the movie. Perhaps i enjoyed the movie because i had the lowest expectations but surprisingly i loved it. The main characters are likable and you do root for the main couple. I also love the friendship that Lee and Elle have. Its a cute teen movie, if you love those kind of movies.
