Us (2019)
A mixed bag of... greatness?
This movie has ups and downs. For me the first time we see the doppelgängers of the family, the blend of comedy from the father really makes the entire scene's frightening purpose rather bland and disappointing. Almost to the point where it's slightly cringeworthy, causing some laughs in the crowd, which was unfortunate. Same goes with a couple of scenes earlier in the movie. I don't really understand where the movie is trying to go sometimes. It really lacks the haunting effect of Jordan Peele's previous masterpiece "Get Out", because of the inconsistency. The movie is unpolished, which is why it doesn't get a particularly high rating.
The ending is phenomenal though, and it brings everything together. Some moments of confusion previously experienced during the movie disappears. However, the ending for me was a bit confusing. At first, it might be slightly difficult to understand though, but in my opinion that's not necessarily a bad thing. The confusioness of the ending might make this movie unforgettable!
Many scenes in this movie are truly terrifying, without the necessity of jumpscares, which I experienced during "The Nun". Jordan Peele is fantastic at building atmospheres. That's why I was very excited for this movie. Unfortunately, I had higher hopes. This movie had so much potential, but it felt like a confused, unpolished masterpiece. However, it's not a catastrophe, and I might watch it again for a clearer view. Maybe it will be even better next time.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Way ahead of its time. Masterpiece!
One of my favourite movies of all time. I absolutely adore the psychedelia this movie features, with the dream-like colourful "star-gate sequence" for example. Acting is fantastic, insane VFX and cinematics, iconic characters, and of course Stanley Kubrick. The greatest director of all time. It's perfect!

The Nun (2018)
What a letdown!
I hate that this lacks the James Wan vibe, which we could find in the Conjuring series; The build-up to nothing for example, or the completely random jumpscares. For me, they just didn't work. At least most of them.
The jumpscares (which were the only way to make this movie somewhat interesting for the majority of viewers) make up for the fact that the plot doesn't go anywhere, nor making any sense at all.
Some scenes were interesting however, for example when the nun hangs herself in the beginning of the movie. The intro was actually not bad at all in my opinion.
There were some very cringeworthy moments in this movie as well, for example Frenchie. His small cheesy jokes out of nowehere appeard all over the movie, for no reason at all. The jokes were bad as well :(
I did have hopes for this movie, but it didn't work out at all.
The Departed (2006)
What an experience!
Honestly, in my opinion this might be the best Scorsese movie to date! Acting is stellar. Obviously it will be if it's starring names like DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson, but it's still so much better than expected (which says a lot).
Everything about this movie is about perfect, and I couldn't lay my eye off the screen for a second. What a fantastic movie!
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Enjoyable movie.. but
In my opinion it's incredibly overhyped and overrated. It's just another one of those flashy 21st century marvel movies, but longer and with more emotional moments I guess. And more characters, which makes it quite messy to me. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of this genre.
The Emoji Movie (2017)
Beautiful.
This is pure art. I don't need words for context. You can just tell by the beautiful and meaningful title, depicting the innocent and dream-like lives of the Emojis! 10/10
Rick and Morty (2013)
Amazing
This cartoon raised my IQ by 100. Now I understand the meaning of life and the science behind gravity. My vision has been completed.
